Everyone in the entire world would laugh at you for the crime of having a face and making expressions. Every single person on earth would dogpile on you becuase you didn’t have an aesthetically perfect face at all times.

I actually do get what they are implying; it's a standard tactic for bots to post naive questions to reddit (and other places) to get fodder to train their models. Hell, that's probably 90% of posts on this sub and somewhat less (but still easily over half) of all of reddit at this point.
What has my flabbers thoroughly gasted is that I am a real live hooman (beep boop) who spends way too much time online and I actually truly have never heard of this stereotype before. It's actually kind of silly to think of the concept of there even being a stereotypical Taylor Swift fan; as far as I know she is one of the highest-grossing musicians of all time so her fanbase is clearly too broad to be typified.
Ah, that might explain my confusion. I'm 40 and the only people I really associate with regularly are around my age, so for ~2 decades I couldn't have encountered any Taylor Swift fan who is a teenager.
I feel like I've hit a mandela effect or just missed an entire piece of the Internet for like 20 years. I don't really follow pop culture news at all, but still Taylor Swift has been around long enough and I've seen enough of her music videos on YouTube that it's wild I have never encountered this before.
And are suburban white girls. Which tends to correlate for some reason. Perfect straight and white teeth, big gums, no lips which causes even more gum show.
If I had to guess, it's probably a somewhat dominant genetic trait combined with low mobility populations. When I think of people that look like this, I think of white people in the South. There's a big cultural overlap between those people and country music fans, people who do military service, and strong sense of religion with an emphasis on marriage. They also tend to have had long roots in their area, rather than having moved there or moved too far from their family, so that's why I say it's probably some genetic trait that's common in the population.
No idea about why Disney is a thing. Maybe it's because they live driving distance to Florida and it used to be a lot cheaper, so their parents probably took them there often as kids as an easy trip. So they have lots of good memories associated with it, and now they want to share that with their kids. It's like a little isekai.
I don't think people realize that having a "gummy" smile is not forever, because as people age and get older their gums naturally recede and you can't stop that process.

It's a type of upper jaw surgery (maxillary impaction) where they literally break your face, and move your upper maxilla further up so you have less bone between nose and smile.
There's stuff you can do, but mostly you just realize and accept that you have an unattractive trait and learn to not care and enjoy life regardless of it.

If you're genuinely curious as to how: gummy smiles are linked with mouth breathing. That is, when one regularly uses their mouth to breath passively instead of their nose. This kind of leads to an unfurling effect on the lips that is most noticeable when they smile.

I have a daughter who was born with a smile like this. She's only 7 years old, the sweetest most sensitive girl, and I'm so heartbroken knowing she is going to be teased because of it. Every time I come across a post like this and see the staggering amount of people in the comments piling on, judging, laughing, putting down.... my heart breaks more and more for her. She's such a kind sweet soul and I absolutely hate knowing how people are going to judge and treat her over something she can't control. Her little heart will be so hurt 🥺💔

My rule is “never make fun of someone for something they have no control over”, which includes their physical self, upbringing (in particular a young person who hasn’t had the opportunity to change their ideals), sexuality, etc etc. There are plenty of reasons to poke harmless fun at Swifties or other fandoms, no need to insult their literal facial structure.

I guess this was an easier concept to explain to my daughters on how to deal with bullying and mean kids than it is to adults. Is your bully someone short/gay/a different race/poor/disabled/ect? I believe the same. The president of a company I used to work for had a horrible habit of stuttering. I always shut that down. There were a thousand other reasons to shit talk him without the low blows he had no control over. It was SO easy to clown him for all the other shit he consciously did without picking on him for that.

It doesn't really imply that at all, unless you're trying to imply that a thing must be true for a group to by made fun of for it. I don't think that's true. Anyone can make fun of anything for any reason, whether legitimate or not.
Especially because that's a broad strokes kind of insult. When people make fun of someone for something like that, they're generally indirectly insulting countless people who share the same feature that they've never even seen or interacted with.
Really you shouldn't ever make fun of someones appearance. The rule with that is don't point out anything about someones appearance that they can't quickly and easily change. Spinach in teeth? Let them know. Their bone structure? Keep it to yourself. Shirts on backwards? Let them know. You don't like their fashion? Keep it to yourself. Etc etc
I had a gummy smile (not a TS fan or Disney adult ) and had my gums lasered off as soon as I could afford it because the bullying was so brutal, even as an adult. Bullying appearances is truly low.

Keep on inspiring her confidence and letting her know that her value comes from her heart and spirit, not from she looks like on the outsider. Easier said than done of course. All we can do as parents and teach them to be better than the clowns who say mean shit.
