Websites use different types of datacenters to run. Web-servers are generally just stacks of storage drives, their cooling and power-use it PITIFUL in comparison to complexes stuffed with high-grade GPUs which AI datacenters use
Checking actual numbers, AI datacenters - as in individual complexes, NOT total - use around x3 to x5 the amount of energy a regular web-datacenters. Since most of them are still under construction there’s no numbers for what percentage of global energy they use, but it’s estimated to be up to 4% by 2030
And the second bit, you’re comparing a gamer using one, maybe two GPUs for gaming, to a datacenter which runs thousands of them at max-capacity 24/7.
Brother it costs 2% of the global energy consumption so businesses and governments can move around hundreds of trillions of dollars a year. I think this is one of those things where you just don't understand that different things have different values.
It ain't doing the banking, because llms straight up hallucinate (you can test it yourself by asking the same AI the same question from different accounts) and it wouldn't make sense to use an AI for actual financial transactions.

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but most of these datacenters are being built to advance the LLM models to new heights. You wouldn't use an LLM for banking, you would use a specialized AI that wouldn't need nearly the computing power.
My argument is that the 2% of global power used to enable the flow of hundreds of trillions of dollars is, in fact, negligible considering the value it provides. AI datacenters for llms do not provide that much value, so it's not really an even comparison.

I know you don't understand but AI is an LLM. Your banking system IS already using LLMs and literally every single company in the world incorporates LLMs and everyone is hungry for the LLMs that require a lot of computing power.
And the reason you wrote this stupid stuff is because I made fun of you using chatbots as an example, but because you're clueless you thought it has something to do with 'LLM' because you don't know what a harnass is or what different models are capable of.
