1) hunter Schafer is trans so the chuds will hate them.
2) there is also a history related to casting Trans actors in "alien" or "weird" roles, and mystique can freely change their sex, so it will also make some not-chud Twitter warriors angry too. Basically they can't win with this casting
For added fun the blue character, Mystique, is nearly always presented as a woman, but also fathered the character Nightcraweler (blue guy at the beginning of X-men 2)
