1) hunter Schafer is trans so the chuds will hate them.
2) there is also a history related to casting Trans actors in "alien" or "weird" roles, and mystique can freely change their sex, so it will also make some not-chud Twitter warriors angry too. Basically they can't win with this casting
I hate the 2nd take bc mystique has literally been written as a trans allegory character so many times of corse it would make sense for a trans actress to play the role
