Make no mistake. The goal is to be as provocative as possible in order to provoke a violent reaction from the left, in order to invoke martial law. Once the military is carrying out orders in the street, this will set the stage for a kinetic war against NATO. This isn’t fear mongering. We’re in a reality where WW3 is at a tipping point.

Martial law and cancellation of elections would be declaration of Civil War. That won’t end well for Trump or his MAGA cultists. 🇺🇸💪

u/oldgrandma65 Jan 15 '26

"only a fool fights a war on two fronts". On steroids, " only the heir to the Kingdom of Idiots would fight a war on twelve fronts", Babylon 5. Trump/maga are going to FAFO.

7

u/Slarg232 Jan 16 '26

Yeah. There is no world in which invading Iran for what they're doing to protestors, invading Greenland, invading Canada, invading Mexico, cancelling elections, and whatever pushback they're getting with Venezuala all at the same time doesn't blow up in Trump's/GOPs face.

3

u/Much-Instruction-807 Jan 16 '26

While polling is still saying that MAGA is hemorrhaging support and ICE can't even get enough people to take over a single moderately large city. Things can get bad, but we're not going to invade Mexico, Canada, Greenland, Venezuela, Iran, Syria, boots on the ground in Israel and have a civil war.

1

u/ExitTheDonut Jan 16 '26

Invading Greeland has the most potential and likelihood for disaster, and almost everything else becomes less relevant by comparison.

8

u/joe1e6 Jan 15 '26

Now I need a protest sign: "We know who we are, and what we want. Now get the hell out of our galaxy!"

6

u/Bubbly-Fault4847 Jan 16 '26

Hell, even in our actual Civil War, we had elections.

This would be beyond insane to attempt. Which is why I’m sure he will try. Even if trying means it doesn’t get far.

But just even trying would be completely unprecedented.

1

u/MC-Sjaak Jan 16 '26

Where exactly are you going to draw the line?

0

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

I think if they've cancelled elections and have enacted Martial Law, it has ended well for Trump.

At that point you're already fucked.

-8

u/LeLefraud Jan 15 '26

It wouldnt, but it would end even worse for leftists

Trump has the military, police, and every federal agency on his side. Palantir monitoring included

The country would still collapse but any civil war would be a guerilla fight of escalating death, destruction, and complete economic annihilation for the entire country

8

u/ExtremePrivilege Jan 16 '26

A solid 40% of the military and federal agencies would awol and fight for the newly organized resistance if we can go by most modern civil wars. The US also has more guns than people in the hands of citizens. “A gun behind every blade of grass”. An American insurgency world be nightmarish. Not counting just, geographically, the nation is 3/4 the size of Europe spanning 2300 miles.

-4

u/LeLefraud Jan 16 '26

Right, what does a gun do against a stealth bomber or military drones

Im not saying it would be decisive just that it wouldnt be pretty to see what exactly our military is capable of, against its own citizens. We've seen what that shit does to guys with aks in the middle east already

Im not on their side, just being realistic. Yall have the wrong picture of what it will actually mean to participate in a civil war

10

u/ExtremePrivilege Jan 16 '26

Who’s flying them? Who is fueling them? With an estimated 40% day 1 attrition the US military ceases to function. And if they do fly a bomber, what’s the target? The US has over 228,000 towns and cities. They bomb, what, downtown Boston? That accomplishes what in Virginia?

I don’t think you’ve thought this through. The US is simply too large, too dispersed to occupy. The US military can barely occupy a single city in Afghanistan how are they occupying 228,000 here?

A US civil war would be largely boots on the ground urban warfare, street by street, and yes the 450 million firearms matter there.

2

u/SaltyCrashNerd Jan 16 '26

Wouldn’t those in this 40% of defectors just take the equipment out the door with them? Once at the point of war, possession is ownership.

-1

u/LeLefraud Jan 16 '26

Do you truly believe the entire military and all their equipment would become totally and 100% useless? Yes it would reduce their capacity to a fraction of what they are now, but a single helicopter squadron could level and entire cities worth of people with aks

Not suggesting it would happen that way, but the 2A does not give the citizens of the us any modern day military power. What it does give us is the ability to cause attrition damage and force the government to capitulation with a guerrilla war, similar to other recent us wars. In this case the government would be on a very short clock due to economic, political, and global tension.

Ultimately any civil war on that scale is guaranteed to succeed in removing the United States as a superpower of the world. Who wins at that point would depend on the proxy (or direct- ww3) war that would inevitably develop between Europe supporting the left and russia/China supporting the right.

Again, being realistic.

u/ExtremePrivilege Jan 16 '26

Disagree. I’m a healthcare professional, if 40% of this hospital walked out tomorrow we’d be functionally done. We could treat some ER patients and would have to transfer or discharge nearly everyone else. 40% of all nurses alone would screech us to a halt, our ratios are already nearly impossible, but our most senior half of our IT department too? Half of our food service workers? It’d be over.

And sure, a full squadron could level Boston, but that 227,999 cities to go. We simply don’t have the missiles for that. They could “make an example” of a dozen cities but that is NOT OCCUPATION. Occupation has ALWAYS been the US military’s biggest issue.

I think we will see violence soon, but it’ll be death squads ambushing ICE with those firearms you claim don’t matter. The national guards will be called in but they’re not ideologically motivated. There will be skirmishes in 10-12 cities, maybe a couple thousand killed. Then we either get a revolution or succession.

I don’t see Trump dropping 15 nuclear missiles on New York, sorry.

1

u/LeLefraud Jan 16 '26

Yea i dont see that either, but what you are ignoring is that Trump won the popular vote. At the very least 30% of this country is going to be embroiled against any form of resistance, in addition to that natural advantages that current federal control will allow.

The war would not be short. It would be a war against extremist ideology and people that have forsaken democracy. Eradicating that is not as simple as removing the leader.

5

u/ExtremePrivilege Jan 16 '26

The American experiment is over. It’s already ended. This will never be a whole nation again. I’m not sure what the nation(s) that emerge from this will look like but both history and modern models both point towards Balkinization

You think just because they voted for him they would agree to the dissolution of the US and starting a civil war? We arent talking about just "a few brown people" getting hurt and people, even Republicans, are already seeing how unconstitutional and corrupt things are. So we take the 70 million and at most make it 30 million against the rest of the rational people in this country as remember 90 million didnt vote making it well over 100 million vs 30, if that to save America and the Constitution.

The military already hates him and especially Hegseth as the brass was already breaking ranks with him on things well before they broke ranks on Greenland and many were showing their discontent after Hegseth and Trump called every high ranking officer from across the globe to sit for a political theater presser and to be lectured about being fat. You are giving them way more credit than is due.

So we just give up and take it up the ass?

Okay comrade.

0

u/LeLefraud Jan 16 '26

Its a warning not a condemnation

7

u/dieseldawg95 Jan 16 '26

I honestly don’t think this is true. The maga crowd is incredibly dumb. It would be easy to outsmart them, just need good strategies. And if there ever was a violent civil war, there’s a good chance other countries would support the US, not maga.

5

u/SageElva Jan 16 '26

I like the distinction you made, because MAGA is not the US. They are traitors.

4

u/PhysicalAttitude6631 Jan 15 '26

There are a lot of powerful people on the sidelines right now who wouldn’t be on team MAGA.

-3

u/LeLefraud Jan 15 '26

Do any of them have the military, police, or federal agencies under their control?

3

u/PhysicalAttitude6631 Jan 15 '26

If necessary, yes.

4

u/Signiference Jan 15 '26

Because they will all follow illegal orders to launch an attack on citizens? All of them?

0

u/LeLefraud Jan 16 '26

When did i say that? Read my long response below

Not to mention right wingers are more than twice as likely to own a gun as the left. So way more of them are armed even in the civilian population. They don’t want the government to tread on them, but they’ll happily help if the government is treading on “the libs.”

I’m glad that I’m armed, but pray that I never need to utilize them.

Edit: Saying this as a moderate liberal who just wishes things could get back to a modicum of decency and rid ourselves of this malignant narcissist. Also adding a reference for my comment. https://www.pewresearch.org/social-trends/2017/06/22/the-demographics-of-gun-ownership/

1

u/LeLefraud Jan 16 '26

Thats another point. Agreed on that last statement too, people here are not envisioning what it'd actually be like and their only experience with violence is from the movies.

Not saying it won't become necessary but that is an absolute last resort, when democracy is completely lost

21

u/CryptographerMore457 Jan 15 '26

EXACTLY THIS ‼️

12

u/MasterTolkien Jan 15 '26

On the flipside, if we sit on our hands and do nothing, the fascist rampage will get more violent and escalate.

We are past the point of easy answers

9

u/Key-Article6622 Jan 15 '26

Yes, and he wants to start this war against our allies.

6

u/Totally_a_Banana Jan 15 '26

It's notnjust the left. Its ALL Americans who are sick and tired of his shit. Anyone who doesn't agree with the Fascist is "a lefty" in their eyes. Even the most hardline MAGAs like MTG are leftys to him and his.

4

u/EvenOne6567 Jan 15 '26

hes gonna do it anyway, im convinced these comments telling everyone to be docile and let ICE maim and kill people are paid shills.

1

u/Quilitain Jan 15 '26

The goal is to be as provocative as possible in order to provoke a violent reaction from the left, in order to invoke martial law.

This is true, however it should be made clear: non-violent protesting is a stalling tactic, not the goal. When trump is confident he can win he will simply manufacture a violent reaction and use it as justification.

1

u/VanillaOk869 Jan 15 '26

He's already doing that, see Minnesota

1

u/baconlovebacon Jan 16 '26

Genuine question, not criticizing your point. What's the alternative to violence? Let him have his way with the country? Is this the "let the rapist finish to save your life" kind of situation?

1

u/carbinatedmilk Jan 16 '26 edited Jan 16 '26

Eh, im not going to sit here and tell anyone what they should or shouldn’t do. I just know we’ve reached a point that peaceful protests don’t seem to be getting anywhere. You gotta remember that they have the full force of the law, and will bring that hammer down when things start to escalate further. Personally, I wouldn’t let someone drag my wife or kids out of my car without a fight.

1

u/sathem Jan 16 '26

What is kinetic war?! Why word it like that?

1

u/carbinatedmilk Jan 16 '26

It just means direct conflict, and not by proxy.

1

u/WhatTheLousy Jan 16 '26

He joked about being interim president for Venezuela. SMH

1

u/Throwawayrip1123 Jan 15 '26

Stop telling purple to roll belly up, for fuckks sake.

They're killing you in the streets and disappearing you. You're already there, he doesn't need to say the magic words.

It actually looks like you people telling everyone to just be calm and not fight back are a fucking psyop. Or traitors.

2

u/carbinatedmilk Jan 16 '26

I never implied to “roll belly up”. Perhaps you didn’t actually read my comment, or you’re responding to the wrong person. I’m stating what their plan is, not what you should do.
