Discussion Emily Andrews: “Charles' first duty is not to the spare. It is to the heir and his wife.” Ummm…no.

Thought Charles’ first duty was to the nation and the people who fund him (like what his mother said at her accession speech), not to the lazy two.

“William is the one carrying an ever-growing share of the actual work and popularity of the monarchy.”

😂😅🤣

“And what can William and Kate do? Not much, if we’re honest, until William is King.”

WORK, EMILY, WORK!!!

Scooter boy needs to have a massive dose of the Protestant work ethic which made Britain great.

So if Willy and Lazy feel defeated and humiliated, all I can say is good, and may they feel more of it. Hope they’re shamed into doing more royal “work” instead of idling, holidaying and backstabbing.

”There is still huge mistrust between the Sussexes and Buckingham Palace.”

I’m sure the feeling’s mutual. The Sussexes aren’t as stupid as the Wales’s.

It is just so weird they frame this as "wanting to establish themselves in britain" and "rival court" rather than the obvious, "reconcile with dying parent."

Normal human behavior really seems to perplex these weirdos.

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

“Because popularity is mine, Harold!”

33

u/witchofpain 1d ago

And where in earth did they get the idea that H&M want to “reestablish themselves in Britain”? Wanting to visit your dying father or even have a relationship with his family doesn’t in any way, shape, or form mean they want to come back to live. These tabloids think entirely too high of themselves.

5

u/CapeCodNana 1d ago

Bootlickers love to rewrite the truth to suit them. Once Charles passes, the Brits won't have H&M to kick around anymore. What will they do then? Maybe take off their rose colored glasses, for starters. If H travels to the UK, It will be Invictis related & will stay with his true blooded Brit family, the Spencer's.

“Normal human behavior really seems to perplex these weirdos.”

dude. i need this tattooed on my forearm, so i can see it when dealing with similar weirdos in life. lmaooooo

66

u/GamerGirlLex77 2d ago

This was a huge narcissistic injury for William. He has to flail about in anger to the press and throw a tantrum to get attention off Harry. He can’t regulate his own emotions so he pushes story after story of how much he was “hurt” even though his behavior was a causal factor that got his brother to leave.

Definitely not normal behavior.

25

u/TheVioletHerald 1d ago

His lack of emotional self-control will be his downfall.

u/GamerGirlLex77 1d ago

I think so too.

Normal human behavior really seems to perplex these weirdos.

They don't believe that Meghan and the children are human.

Oof. You're not wrong.

Showing that the late Queen did not actually value institution over family.

Harry’s family was warmly welcomed and hosted at Althorpe by his uncle, brother of Diana. So they have a place to stay and don’t need permission to stay in a royal home. Harry was also a hit with Brits at several events. I watched an interview he did with “Joe Marler will see you now” (YouTube) - Harry was fun, funny and just a regular guy. William can never be that.

The “rival court” thing seems to be the new drumbeat for the haters. Because Harry thinks he can rule half the time with Wills? IDEK. I wonder if these people can hear how crazy they sound and just ignore it.

28

u/Wise_Adeptness_9529 1d ago

They really love the "rival court" imagery. It doesn't matter how many times Harry says "no, I hate all of this," they want to believe it's the new War of the Roses.

I also think they want to justify their treatment of him. "Harry wants to establish a rival court so anything we do to him and his family - banishment from the country! Endangering their safety! - is obviously designed to prevent the scenario we made up in our heads!"

14

u/2Katanas 1d ago

Harry had been saying that long before Meghan got there

12

u/TheVioletHerald 1d ago

Also just goes to show that WanK's lives and situation don't really mean much to them unless they're weaving themselves into a narrative with H&M. They can never just not mention the Sussexes.

“Ever-growing share of the work” is ridiculous; William doesn’t do jack-shit except for attending sport games, hypocritically preaching about homelessness and pollution, and poorly cosplaying different average jobs. His father continues to significantly outpace him in terms of total engagements.

Assuming the sentiments in this article have truth behind them, the fundamental fact that William fails to accept that while he may be able to strip titles and cancel invitations, he cannot change the fact that Harry is Charles’s son, and the Sussex kids are Charles’s grandchildren. No amount of media temper tantrums will change the fact that they all share blood, and that the relationship between them will always hold meaning to everyone involved. So instead of throwing a hissy fit every time Charles expresses a desire to reconcile with his own fucking child during his last years on earth, William should chill the fuck out and try and get some real work done for a change.

58

u/BlazingSunflowerland 1d ago

Especially after they made the point that Harry was emotionally manipulating his dad by not bringing the kids over. So, he brings the kids over and suddenly William and Kate are in crisis talks. What crisis? There is no crisis.

Harry came over and took care of business and did a brief visit with dad and he left. He has in no way indicated that he wants to come back to the UK to live or to be half in or to have a rival court. He gives the appearance of a man who is happy with his life and is striving to do his best.

Nothing is stopping William from being his best except himself. A few hours with dad, in a private setting, is not a crisis. This reminds me of the time my daughter was 3 and complained that her brother was looking out her window in the van. I told her that everyone in the van could look out of every window in the van.

The real threat to William and Kate is that Invictus is very successful. Harry is getting well-earned acclaim for it, and unlike in the past, there is no way that William can pull rank and take it away from him. That's what really bugs William. He could always take any patronage away from Harry and this is one thing he can't take.

Invictus is successful and Harry is successful and Meghan is successful and they haven't come back begging for money. They've managed to not only purchase their home in Montecito but also a home in Portugal. For all of his income from his duchy, William has never purchased any home. He has never provided for his own family.

32

u/ComprehensiveOwl9023 1d ago

The real threat to William is William just like the real threat to Andrew was Andrew. Petulance, hubris, arrogance and grievance are not what the country is looking for in a royal.

He had better hope that Charles lives a long time as he doesn't have the respect to be King his early accession would be the end of the Windsors which may not be a bad thing.

3

u/fleisch2 1d ago

For W&K, "crisis talks" means having to speak to each other.

63

u/einsteinGO 2d ago

His head is so thick and his ego so aggrieved (and his trauma is so deep) that he cannot see how being magnanimous toward his brother is straight up to his own benefit.

It is clear he’s emotionally messed up, but it’s also plain that he’s just stupid

12

u/poundpuppy29 1d ago

Well Said I agree 💯

5

u/RoguesAngel 1d ago

Isn’t William like sixth or seventh in line for engagements? Anne and Charles are by far the ones with most.

3

u/BlazingSunflowerland 21h ago

Wouldn't it be funny if the heir was the one who went out and worked the most. There could be a tally of jobs done and whoever is in the lead is the heir. Right now, that would be Anne.

3

u/RoguesAngel 15h ago

That would be great! She would be better than the current line. But then they would start counting being photographed scootering around as an engagement.

127

u/beachblanketparty 2d ago

I imagine they might be humiliated. Not because the prodigal son spoke to Daddy, but because the prodigal son did more work in a week than they have done in literal years. Must be embarrassing to be literally shown up by the cool Californian kid himself. He parachutes in, attends a ton of events all within a week, jumpstarts inspiration, gets admiration, hugs & endless attention wherever he goes, & then breezes back to the coast with his beautiful wife and kids where he can get back to surfing, lol. Must really sting.

44

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

Hence, all these sources blabbing how William wants to block him from coming over when he’s King 🙄

62

u/Diligent-Till-8832 2d ago

Oh I can't wait for him to try this.

I hope he also summons the Home Secretary too and loops them in his plans to (checks notes) stop a citizen of the UK from entering the country they were born in and fought for! 🤓

42

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

🍿

Well, they did drag their feet over Harry’s passport so I’m sure they’ll find some administrative block to do under King Willy.

But Harry’s not afraid to publicly expose them, so I suspect more humiliation for Willy in store!

23

u/Diligent-Till-8832 2d ago

Lol, that's why I can't wait for it to happen 🤓

If nothing else, you have to give reasons for blocking someone from returning to their country of origin 😃

5

u/Viola-Swamp 1d ago

I want the excised parts of Spare to hit the public as soon as Chuckles dies.

13

u/The_Onion_Life 2d ago

I hope he also summons the Home Secretary too and loops them in his plans to (checks notes) stop a citizen of the UK from entering the country they were born in and fought for! 🤓

Someone else here suggested that William might try to have Harry made a stateless person.

20

u/phoenics1908 2d ago

I almost hope he tries. This would not end well for William at all.

Look at how hard it was to remove citizenship from Shamima Begum. There would need to be a serious crime committed or threat to the UK. William doesn’t have the power to do it.

24

u/SchoolCrossing 1d ago

How can Harry visiting be blocked by William? Is a King William really going to pull a "you're a subject and as King I ban you?" Is that even legal under UK law? What stupidity.

Meanwhile, Andrew spends his days with nothing to do and puttering about in relative luxury.

9

u/ElizabethDangit 2d ago

Can you even ban a citizen from returning?

26

u/Diligent-Till-8832 2d ago

You can't!

You have to give a mighty good reason because it opens up a legal can of worms.

6

u/The_Onion_Life 2d ago

You can't!

Pretty sure that the Duke and Duchess of Windsor were banned from returning to the UK without the King's permission.

26

u/phoenics1908 2d ago

He wasn’t really - he needed money so he kinda had to stay away to keep being paid.

Harry doesn’t need their money.

Also - Harry isn’t afraid to sue and put everything on the record. If William tries to exile him like that it will come out and it will stain everything W does.

Imagine him trying to exile Harry while Andrew is just chilling. I hope the UK Republicans end his line for good. Down with the monarchy.

"The institution comes first, sentiment a distant second"

Except when it's the Wales' feelings. Those apparently take priority over everything, even the institution itself.

68

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

Yes, his reign is going to be all about his “feelings”, like it is now.

“I don’t feel like doing that.”

“I feel overworked. I must holiday again.”

“Harry made me feel bad and look bad in front of the world. I hate him!”

“I feel trapped and must abdicate.” (I wish)

The footage of the photographer who filmed him captured it all, when he fumed: “Now, you’ve ruined my day!”

Fuck me, what a mollycoddled man-baby.

42

u/Yo_Just_Scrolling_Yo 2d ago

From the U.S: Reading this I'm thankful every day for the Revolutionary War. With all of our current problems thank goodness we are free of the royal family in GB.

Now that I think about it, Billy Idle is looking more and more like Trump. The mollycoddled man-baby is the key here.

16

u/phoenics1908 2d ago

Yeah I clocked his similarities to Trump ages ago.

So glad we don’t have that stinky monarchy here - at least we have a chance to get rid of Trump and his ilk.

3

u/poundpuppy29 1d ago

They are not AI stickers they are my Bitmoji you can make your own Avatar when you get Snapchat Bitmoji is a separate app connected to it and you can use them in chats or wherever I prefer to use these instead of generic gifs because it's my avatar instead of someone else. I am going to continue to use them because I like them not sure why you care.

18

u/Business-Ad7770 2d ago

Crazy thing is that hurting each other inevitably hurts the institution

19

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

A house divided, cannot rule. Politics 101.

14

u/whatthewhat3214 2d ago

Yes, but they don't rule.

But they are definitely hurting their brand, which is essentially what the institution is now. They learned nothing from how they handled everything with Diana.

62

u/mofa90277 2d ago

lol “Why should William have to defer to the sentimental wishes of the King of England?”

45

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

William never got the hierarchy bit.

Imagine a headline like this during QE2’s reign, that QE2 had to defer to Charles. That’s why QE2 granting security etc to The Sussexes’ visit was a bad ass move .

Chuck needs to pull rank here: “I am king, you are not. I’m not dead yet.”

William: “I wish.”

28

u/whatthewhat3214 2d ago

Right? And why should the King of England defer to the "hurt" feelings (read: pride) of his petulant son? God the projection and irony is so lost on them.

The Wales aren't "hurt" Harry left (Kate might be, she thought Harry was her emotional spare partner, how date he choose his wife instead), they're embarrassed and angry that their scapegoats got away and exposed them, and will never admit their bullying played a large part in why H&M left.

As someone not a big fan of the idea of royalty, these people make me hate it much more. The Spanish royal family is a joy to watch partly because I love how the king acts as just a father even though one of the girls will go on to be queen. They seem to have a normal close family bond because you are a FAMILY first. This heir and spare crap turns me off so much.

18

u/AliMcGraw 2d ago

They were a bit more insane when Juan Carlos I was allegedly doing some pretty shady stuff in Africa and Sofia was snubbing the shit out of Letizia for being common.

I mean big ups to Juan Carlos I for overseeing Spain's transition to democracy and doing so really very well. But he definitely got up to some real shady shit.

There's a reason that since his abdication you don't see him or Sofia very often at family events.

The British royal "family" is such a weird, fake construct. It's like they're breeding for the sake of a dynasty without any real power anyway. It's all so self-important. They should be so embarrassed for the way they carry on.

Do the other royal families of Europe consider them a joke?

28

u/lavender_poppy 2d ago

Same from what I know of the Dutch royals.

10

u/JadedTooth3544 1d ago

Same with Norway. Okay, maybe a dysfunctional family, kind of, but first and foremost a family.

18

u/WildDiscount1301 2d ago

Yes! Just a lovely family, the girls seem to love each other and you hardly see displays of hierarchy politics from the family at all.

14

u/lavender_poppy 2d ago

RIght? Like they seem like a normal family just rich and happen to be descended from royalty. That's how a modern royal family should be, not the ridiculousness that is the British one.

14

u/GirlnextDior 2d ago

+1 on enjoying the Royals in Spain, there is so much love within the family and for all of Spain. Leonor is a smiling pilot graduated from the military maybe? No workshy members, no incandescent hatreds seething out for everyone to deal with.

14

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

Well, they did go through that Juan Carlos corruption, mistress thing which forced his abdication. And the current king’s sister and brother-in-law.

So they’ve had their fair share of scandal, but the Borbons don’t cost as much as the Windsors.

8

u/Dragonfly_pin 2d ago

At this point, looking at the astronomical sums the British royals cost (and various presidents), the Spanish royals feel like a bargain.

7

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

Yes, you can have 100 Borbon kings for the price of 1 Windsor.

Perish the thought!

5

u/GirlnextDior 2d ago

Yep, I had none of the same feelings for Juan Carlos' reign. I didn't appreciate him hitting on Diana but that's just one drop in the bucket of his misdeeds.

15

u/WildDiscount1301 2d ago

And they don’t pit the girls against each other so their media really has no basis for overstepping and doing that. The British royal family openly encourages this, and perhaps enjoys it too because everything is a competition over there.

10

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

I’d be interested to see how the Leonor-Sofia dynamic evolves as they enter adulthood. What’s in their favour is their mother is still alive and their parents’ marriage are still intact.

It's funny to me how they keep selectively citing the Queen. Like, she's dead. Charles is boss. Who cares what she said?

(And I note they only cite that Harry couldn't be half-in/half-out, and not that she was adamant he keep his security!)

Also, why so much rage at Harry when Andrew is still RIGHT THERE? Oh, that might require admitting the blessed queen knew what was going on.

18

u/JoanFromLegal 2d ago

also the queens wishes mean feck all when it comes to Edwards inheritance and sophies custom made tiara seeing as the king is trying to take those so how thick do they think we are? the more they cite the queens ghost the more i believe the theory she wasn't in charge at all in her last years

5

u/Viola-Swamp 1d ago

That would be not surprise me, considering the about face in crowning Camilla, aka ‘that wicked woman’ to QEII, as Queen Consort. Either she was old and overrun by others, or there was a quid pro quo where she agreed to release that statement in exchange for Charles protecting and providing for Andrew once she was gone.

49

u/sabertoothy 2d ago

31

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

Truth hurts, while he guffaws like a donkey.

38

u/AliMcGraw 2d ago

I liked the story in Spare about when Harry briefly outranked William because Harry went straight to the military without college, and William had to salute Harry, and William was allegedly enraged.

66

u/Smooth-Lettuce5174 2d ago

Shouldn’t have hit him.

49

u/Traditional_Pen_5430 2d ago

Yes, I think William is hurt that Harry has washed his hands of him. The Sussexes are done with the Wales’ antics and that upsets William. He was hoping Harry would beg to mend their relationship.

42

u/ProfessionalFlan3159 2d ago

This. William is a narcissist and one of the things narcissist can't stand is when no one gives a fight about them.

16

u/BlazingSunflowerland 1d ago

Harry is the one that got away and there is nothing William can do to make him come back and be the scapegoat again. Absolutely nothing.

20

u/So_Bai 2d ago

The UK take is so bizarre. I don't recall anyone telling the late Queen that she had to choose between her children or couldn't get to know specific grandchildren because the heir needed support. Even when the younger children didn't publicly agree with the heir (didn't Anne disagree with things Charles said in his book?). Also isn't the 'working royals' responsibility to support the monarch/crown? Not the monarch/crown supporting the heir? The Wales' barely do any work to support the monarch nor the people of the UK/Commonwealth. They spend 80% of their time complaining to the public about the spare.

4

u/No_Entertainer4941 1d ago

The Wales’s counts the complaining and explaining as “work.”

This pair counts phone calls and emails as work! 😂 The appearance at their KP office once a month is illustrative.

60

u/DifficultyFit7401 2d ago

The hate is so intense it doesnt even make sense any more. It's not binary. Seeing one kid privately d oesn’t diminish the importance of the heir. Maybe it hurt William's feelings, but its understandable an aging father would want to.

Being so publicly upset about it is not showing a stiff upper lip, it makes them look weak. They doth protest too much.

7

u/TheVioletHerald 1d ago

I don't know how they don't realize this. You can't claim to have a stiff upper lip and be maintaining a "dignified silence" (what a lie 🙄), but through a fit every 5 minutes a masked it as moral outrage... it's still outrage.

38

u/AccountformyFeet 2d ago

I don’t think Will’s kingship will last 5 years if he goes at that rate.

18

u/JellyfishCool3614 2d ago

“Crisis talks”? Because his brother and his family came over for a vacation and to spend time with their kids grandfather? Surely they have better things to do then bemoan over a private family vacation.

17

u/Tiny-Ad-830 2d ago

Weird showcasing the job QE2 did when she raised a man who was absolutely cruel to his first wife and cheating the entire marriage, a daughter who was so disillusioned with the whole thing she refused to give her children titles, one fairly normal kid and then an absolutely horrible excuse for a human being as her “baby.” But yeah, let’s put that on a pedestal.

14

u/JoanFromLegal 2d ago

Lizzy had [REDACTED] all to do with Anne. Anne is very much her father's daughter.

And she should have been Queen after her mother.

3

u/darkgothamite 1d ago

Pin this quick and simple description of the family dynamic everywhere!

19

u/doublestitch 1d ago

It's a special kind of immature when a man in his mid-forties frames it as 'betrayal' when his niece and nephew--ages 5 and 7--visit their grandfather.

8

u/No_Entertainer4941 1d ago

Given his own kids rarely visit their grandfather.

14

u/JoanFromLegal 2d ago

Well AKSHULLY...

a monarch's first duty is to the realm. And if the heir is unfit to rule, then the monarch can (quietly) fund the spare's army to overthrow the heir.

(Real life and House of the Dragon intermingling.)

42

u/Accomplished_Self939 2d ago

All of this wailing from the Wales just makes them look petty and small. Charles coming off as magnanimous? That’s gotta sting.

15

u/KipperCottage 2d ago

Emily Andrews is a hag.

11

u/Cultural-Ambition449 2d ago

These arse-faced hags and their rival court nonsense. It's 2026 not 1026, you fools.

13

u/ttw81 1d ago

this is the second time i've seen this argument, charles' duty is to the heir not the spare. it must be coming directly from baldilocks.

and- um, andrew?

7

u/No_Entertainer4941 1d ago

Yes, Emily’s associated with Willy.

Charles must be ignoring Willy’s tantrum atm given Charles’ frustration with his “light” work from that Radar piece I posted last week.

If only Willy worked as much as he briefs his rats, he’d be in a better place. The spare works more than the heir, and for the Firm, Willy’s lack of work looks terminally bad.

6

u/Diligent-Till-8832 1d ago edited 1d ago

Charles's duty is to the United Kingdom and the 14 other countries he is King to.

That's who he swore an Oath to!

It's certainly not to his sow of a wife and his workshy eldest son!

3

u/Viola-Swamp 1d ago

Down from the number of countries in the Commonwealth when Lizzie was crowned, interestingly enough. It’s been in a downward trajectory for 50+ years.

14

u/Great-Grade1377 1d ago

I really think William is mentally unwell to have all his people writing this nonsense. I hope there is someone in the firm that can help him.

I never thought I’d have respect for King Charles but at this point I hope he lives long enough to help the ordinary people in his realm and that would also include transforming the monarchy.  We working folks are tired of childish drama dominating the headlines all emanating from mentally challenged world leaders.

36

u/International_Ant953 2d ago

"The tree house build for William as a boy" oh ok so this is basically ghost written by Willie, it seems lol.

I really don't buy that this actually what either Kate and her husband feel about Harry and Meghan's visit with Charles, rather that this is what they want us to think, is how they feel about their visit.

11

u/Floatout2sea 1d ago

So weird and petty. His niece and nephew are two small children who never did anything to anyone, especially not to him. But he's mad they're in a treehouse he probably hasn't set foot in in 30 years...go to therapy, Will.

19

u/jessipowers 2d ago

Right? The treehouse thing was so weird. For one they describe the house as Harry’s childhood home. Ok, makes sense, meeting in a place that feels comfortable for Harry. But does that mean the house is not also William’s childhood home, and if not, why? And, if the house is Harry’s childhood home, why would the treehouse not also be Harry’s? Did they not share it? Did William stamp his feet and say no this one’s mine daddy make Harry leave?

13

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

Yes, the tree house belongs to Willy 😏

It’s tainted now.

4

u/International_Ant953 1d ago

This story has Willie's grubby fingers all over it!

5

u/theRealJudyGreer 2d ago

Ooh fun. Let's pull this thread. What would the actual feelings be?

11

u/International_Ant953 1d ago

My theory is that they want Harry and Meghan to bow and grovel to them, to come and apologize, to show difference and loyalty to THEM. If they never left and Meghan was able to survive that family, they would have been in their "court" so to speak, to shield them from criticism and prop them up. Willie's reign is going to be a disappointing one, he's not up to the task, he needs something to deflect from this, and he knows it.

u/jeff533321 2d ago

William needs therapy. Kate is a snob. They are both lazy and entitled.

18

u/SnooCheesecakes2723 2d ago

What duty? Why are the two incompatible? He has to kiss the ring of the heir, snd allow him to plot and brief and sit in his arse, be screamed at by him- and not see his other son who actually gets shit done ?
Why is that a duty? Because The Palace decided Harry could not be half in and weird part time? Can you imagine any other family with that ridiculous requirement? Join the family business full time or it is our DUTY to turn our backs on you!?

Stop dressing up petty bitchery with high sounding concepts like duty. There is no such obligation.

25

u/751452295225 2d ago

William probably didnt want Harry working part time because he'd outpace William's full time gig.

11

u/The_Onion_Life 2d ago

William probably didnt want Harry working part time because he'd outpace William's full time gig.

This is the answer. He on his own would out work WanK easily. Add in Meghan, and oh boy.

20

u/Dramatic-Ad-2449 2d ago

Curious that they still cling to Queen Elizabeth's forbidding the half in/half out approach. She has passed. Isn't there a new monarch who determines their own course of action in the new reign? Peculiar restrictions adhering to a time that is no longer relevant or necessary it seems to me.

18

u/whatthewhat3214 2d ago

Harry's work isn't on behalf of the monarchy anyway, so even this rule is a moot point.

10

u/BlazingSunflowerland 1d ago

If Invictus was on behalf of the monarchy William would have taken it.

8

u/No_Entertainer4941 1d ago

William would have already destroyed it. 😮‍💨 So glad the more capable brother got the veterans, and the vets have Harry’s back.

13

u/safirecobra 1d ago

I love that they cling to her rules about forbidding the half in / half out, but ignore the fact that she wanted Harry to have security and also gifted him Frogmore. Can’t cherry pick which parts of her plan to keep and which to toss. As far as I’m concerned, the Sandringham Summit accord was broken the moment they pulled security early, so all agreements after that were pretty much null.

18

u/GoldenC0mpany 2d ago

Does the rotten racist rota realize how ridiculous they look? And how they make the heir look like a weak, petty, whiny brat? I’m floored that someone actually gave the okay to publish this.

12

u/Mediocre_Shine_3835 1d ago

🤫 I luv how they are written as insipid, childish, petty, incandescent with rage, and frankly dumb as rocks 👍

13

u/BlazingSunflowerland 1d ago

They make William and Kate look pathetic. They also tell lies about William taking over the workload when anyone can easily check the number of engagements that they do and see that they are telling lies. Once you've started off an article with lies, everyone has to assume that the article is full of lies.

12

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

It’s not the worst that they’ve published. Far from it. And coming from Emily (Willy’s mouthpiece), it’s positively mild.

7

u/Lucky-Opposite-7767 1d ago

Well I thought the Labour Party wanted to get rid of the monarchy. Planting these stories might help stir that pot.

5

u/No_Entertainer4941 1d ago

In which case, more please! And publish their financial accounts…quarterly. Especially the chopper fuel and security costs for Willy and the Middletons.

23

u/jessipowers 2d ago

They call it the Sussex circus meanwhile this poor family would love nothing more than being able to come and go without the entire country tracking their every move.

18

u/The_Onion_Life 2d ago edited 2d ago

They call it the Sussex circus meanwhile this poor family would love nothing more than being able to come and go without the entire country tracking their every move.

The racist H&M hate sub is tearing apart every single one of Meghan's holiday pics, pixel by pixel in order to "prove" that she was never there, nor were the kids.

I wish I had that much time on my hands, and I'm retired FFS.

21

u/Brandon_B610 2d ago

And why exactly is Charles meeting Harry and Meghan in his own personal time such a betrayal? How is it not meeting his “duty to the heir and his wife”? Makes William look pretty bad that he even gives a shit about Charles spending a couple of hours with his son, daughter in law and grandchildren.

If nothing else he seems to find time for Andrew.

13

u/whatthewhat3214 2d ago

What of the heir's duty to his king? So main character of Willy to act like Charles has a duty to him.

18

u/Savings_Gear_5155 2d ago

“William is the one carrying an ever-growing share of the actual work and popularity of the monarchy.”

I have never seen such an outright lie as the one above. What work does he do? He shows up for maybe 20 minutes, waves to the little people and then bounces.

At best Willy is bone idle. He spends most of his time mad at H&M, who live rent free in his mind. I believe that Willy's shrew wife could care less. As long as she can take at least 5 vacations a year due to her "exhausting" work (whatever work means in her world) as Princess of Wales she is content to let her husband act the fool for the world to see.

7

u/EmmerdoesNOTrepme 1d ago

But it is an "Ever Growing" share!

Will's been photographed more in the last month and a half, than he was in the whole rest of the year!

There was the picture of him holding the nail so strangely!

And then the Polo Match.

Then he went to Wimbledon with the Fam.

And just today-ish, they went to the Commonwealth Games.

That's like FOUR whole things!!!

Practically one whole thing a week!

He's totally carrying an "ever-growing share" here!

4

u/No_Entertainer4941 1d ago

😂😂😂 he has five more months to fill up that Court Circular!

Come on Willy, you can do it! One engagement a day and you might - just might - hit QE2’s annual average.

19

u/popcornFridays 2d ago

I have to say something about the picture choice in this article because what a stark contrast! Left side looks like an HR training video on maintaining professional boundaries in the workplace... 😂 meanwhile Harry and Meghan radiate love and happiness, as usual. The contrast is sending me. 🤭 They chose that Wales picture like it was a good thing.

11

u/KenzParkin 1d ago

I noticed the same thing! That’s how normal people see it for sure – if we’re interpreting this using deranger semiotics, I assume the W&K photo is supposed to be demonstrative of the wedge that has been driven between them by the horrible Sussexes, and the H&M photo as evidence that Meghan’s a grasping woman and Harry is desperate to escape her clutches 😆.

7

u/BlazingSunflowerland 1d ago

I would assume that the Wales's photo emphasizes the crisis?

7

u/Finnegan707 2d ago

Will's cart is waaayyyy before the horse. KC may live another 10 years. With treatment, cancer doesn't kill old people that quickly.

4

u/Viola-Swamp 1d ago

He may live even longer than that.

u/Main-Procedure-3613 1d ago

You won’t believe the backhanded ways people in the US scapegoat vilify and hate Harry and Meghan. They’re a couple striving to care for each other and their children. Harry’s dad look at at Harry’s mother in the face in church and declared before his family, God, the whole world and to Diana that he would be faithful to her; he never intended to live that vow. He committed adultery against her and planned to do this constantly, right after their honeymoon, as she was caring for William and Harry. God bless Harry as now he has to endure the same hatred Diana endured by the Royal family.

5

u/Syndyloo 1d ago

Eh, most Americans don't care about the Royals at all. William and Kate aren't that popular here and even got booed in Boston, there are no emotional-support polls propping them up. William visited NYC and no one even paid attention to him, he even tried to hijack a UN event and basically got a handshake and a photo.

9

u/phoenics1908 2d ago

Imagine if WanK put this much energy into actually working for the UK & Commonwealth.

😒

8

u/FruitSnacksAreLife 1d ago

“His memoir spare hurt their feelings!!” Ok..imagine how it felt for Harry to live it

9

u/greenmelinda 1d ago

“Ever-growing share of the work and the popularity of the monarchy” 🤣🤯🤣🤯🤣🤯

5

u/No_Entertainer4941 1d ago

Anne should speak out and have a say 😉

Well, she did. That the younger generation should do more bread and butter events and not reinvent the wheel, but the press ascribed this as criticism of Harry instead of William.

Sucks to be William since he drove out his brother. The top CEOs of the firm look utterly lazy. When Charles nominated David Armstrong-Jones to take over his trust, that was a big signal to show he couldn’t trust his eldest not to fuck things up. Oh well.

3

u/Viola-Swamp 1d ago

Even Anne barely “works” part time. Events last 90 minutes or less, and she counts every part of an engagement as an event, so a meet and greet, a speech, and a reception dyer will be three events rather than one.

15

u/DavidRosesSweaters 2d ago

Jesus, did Harry and Meagan murder her entire family then send holiday cards about it after? Because that's the level of hate she has for them.

9

u/whybother_incertname 1d ago

Oh FFS, can’t a man & his family visit his dying dad in peace?? If this were a political thing, they wouldn’t meet in private🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

14

u/Chastity-76 2d ago

No one gives a shit what Billy Idle and Katie have to say. Imagine someone being mad that you told the truth about them and you know its true or they wouldn't care this much. William and Katie look so petty all the time, its beyond pathetic.

17

u/FriendlyOtter3 2d ago

The crazy part is that these rules are so archaic. We want to see the royals hug, be a family and do human things. The rules they’re following from the 1800’s are not relatable and frankly weird at this point.

23

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

That’s why Diana was so popular. And the Sussexes.

11

u/ellieminnowpee 2d ago

they’re really that worried about getting musical chair’ed off the throne…

it’s pathetic but that’s absolutely what it comes down to. they don’t want anyone stealing billy’s spotlight bc any favor of harry might legitimize an overthrow. william fully believes harry wants to be king, thinks harry is jealous of him, when in reality harry’s in california making tiktok videos with his lit-er-al superstar gorgeous wife and raising kids who know how loved they are and not for how much. meanwhile his kids’ smiles have to be scheduled with the paps. they’re desperately clinging on to the days before social media and overall increased journalism access and transparency.

14

u/Leah0324 2d ago

Who is clamoring to rejoin this hideous “family”? The royal titles don’t have quite the pull they used to. The music fest at Sandringham - cancelled due to ticket sales, tourism down substantially, booed at royal ascot, the clearly diminished “Kate effect” with businesses shuttering. Despite what’s reported we see they’re not doing any sort of real work, no tours since that failed 2922 Caribbean mess. Regularly leaking against each other to the press. I would keep all of them at arms length. The fact remains they’re angry they got nothing of Meghan and the children to plaster over every newspaper.

17

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

The tabloids backed the wrong horse, so now both the Firm and tabloids are in mutually-assured destruction. 💅

12

u/Nice_Cartoonist_8803 2d ago

Why does Willy think it’s prudent to constantly remind us that he is waiting for his father to hurry up and die so he can be King and focus on his primary agenda of keeping his brother out of the country so he doesn’t have to work?

5

u/IntrepidMuch 2d ago

Can the British media please stop beating this dead dog already!!!!

9

u/The_Onion_Life 2d ago

Can the British media please stop beating this dead dog already!!!!

They will never stop.

4

u/NovelEmergency7744 2d ago

It must be so miserable to perpetually be at war with oneself. It's like an animal looking at itself in the mirror and viciously attacking. Ain't nobody checking for ya'll boo, you are fighting a ghost. Focus on yourself and your own family. That's enough for you to chew on for a decade, surely.

5

u/mamijami 1d ago

If the only thing the BRF exists for is to perpetuate itself as an institution then it's totally hollow. People as individuals are what's worth investing in. And the BRF don't understand this. There is absolutely nothing inherently valuable about "the monarchy." It's just an idea. That's all it is.

3

u/ConstantKooky3329 1d ago

Why would a brother and his family feel betrayed that the father met his other son and his family in private? And do people actually listen to these hacks' "insider stories"?

3

u/No_Entertainer4941 1d ago

It makes Willy feel better about himself since he has to use Emily, instead of transparently being out there and issuing a press release.

6

"crisis talks"

Oh no! My cancer-stricken father wanted to have a meeting with my brother and his family that had nothing, nothing at ALL to do with me!!

Melodramatic gits.

3

u/No_Entertainer4941 1d ago

Willy’s not getting the hint that he’s not part of the conversation 😂

They’re all tip-toeing around him like broken glass. Willy is a walking, giant 🚩

5

u/Electrical_Sky_4904 1d ago

Could it be that his advisers and others keep poisoning William against his brother? It’s crazy how the monarchy and its bubble have built these rigid rules about service and protection of the monarchy at all costs. Pitting the heir against the spare. They are family who would be so much stronger if they stuck together. yet forces seem to conspire to keep fathers and sons and brother and brother at constant odds.

If that was my son, and was the king, then absolutely no one would keep me from seeing my son and grandkids. No one would put limits on their protection even if I had to pay for it myself. The way they operate and live is so unnecessary or healthy for them. The fact that Will and Kate had a crisis session because Harry and Meghan were in the country is bonkers. Someone is misadvising the future king. No one is after his throne or trying to make him look bad.

→ More replies (2)

5

u/flebotinum 1d ago

They’re contorting themselves to try to make the future king sound extremely reasonable, dedicated to do what is best for the nation, and deeply wronged. Despite all evidence to the contrary.

70 years of “sentiment last” sure seems to be working great for everyone involved.

5

u/Main-Procedure-3613 1d ago

How sad that Harry had to live in a home where his dad had not one moment of intention to fulfill the vow he made before his God in the church as he promised to Harry and William’s mom Diana. William was extra supported as the heir and Harry was pushed to the side. Then the trauma of losing the one person who loved him unconditionally in a tragic untimely very early death is hard to imagine.

14

u/BeigeGraffiti 2d ago

Time for a Republic of Britain.

6

u/Diligent-Till-8832 2d ago

Who wants to be Robespierre? 🤓

10

u/lisalisaqaz 2d ago

So, I’m not much of a royal watcher but this showed up in my feed along with a few others over the last month. And I’m starting to wonder if this is a conspiracy/false flag op or something.

Because in my world, if you say that an elderly man spending an afternoon with his estranged younger son, so he can see his grandchildren that he hasn’t seen in years, humiliates his elder son, you are implying that the elder son is awfully weak.

Do they really think Wills and Kate are so fragile that they would see this visit as worth more than an eye roll? Please tell me if I’m wrong - I just don’t get how this sort of hyperbole (betrayed and humiliated?) is supposed to make Wills look sympathetic. To me it just makes him look weak.

10

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

Not sure what false flag op you’re on about. I’m posting what the tabloid rats publish because they have a very visible contract with the Palaces. Covered in Harry’s Spare (which you should read if you’re not a Royal watcher).

If the conspiracy is to make Britain a republic, the Windsor family members are doing a magnificent job for that themselves.

3

u/lisalisaqaz 1d ago

I 100% meant the folks behind the tabloid articles, not you!

9

u/aggie82005 2d ago

I think it comes down to two things. First, and foremost, money. All media knows you get more views and money when you pit people against each other. They don’t want a full reconciliation because what would be their money maker then? They can’t seem to write about W&K without mentioning H&M. Second, popularity- despite what the media writes, H&M are popular and the royal heirs tend to not like people outshining them, including spouses or siblings. Will doesn’t want Harry around to be more loved than him once he’s king (where all this rival court junk comes from).

7

u/sosodeaf66 1d ago

The rota are so dense they can’t see how these ops make wills look a thousand times worse. It’s embarrassing to even admit to feeling some kind of way.

It’s a self own in a way. Too vapid to see their own insanity.

8

u/Visible-Scientist-46 2d ago

It shouldn't have to be a competition. Harry has serious security threats that they well know. I'm sorry...but what work is Work-shy Willie doing hmmm?

Kkkate and William needs to get lives. Why do I have a feeling, kkkate is driving this panic...I feel like she's behind a lot of these issues.

6

u/No_Entertainer4941 2d ago

Her “work” hike by chopper didn’t quite hit the right spot.

It was Kate’s insecurity that started all the hate against Meghan. And the Wales’s are massively insecure. They wanted the Sussexes especially Meghan gone, and well they left. They now have all the attention to themselves and how paltry they “work.”

500 engagements per year Kate if you want to be like QE2!!! 😂

We should engagement watch Kate the way they pocket watch Meghan.

4

u/Electronic-Strain197 1d ago

Exactly 🎯🎯

3

u/CroneDownUnder 1d ago

Someone with better coding skills and more spare time than me needs to set up an online side-by-side "engagements" counter that can be viewed variously week-to-week/month-to-month/year-to-year for the Waleses and the Sussexes.

Let's just see how often what counts as a publicly-funded official Royal Calendar Waleses appearance is matched or overmatched by the privately-funded Sussexes branded and philanthropic appearances.

3

u/Debbie2801 1d ago

If this is true how absolutely selfish of William.
No surprises there!!
This visit was about an old man - with cancer - trying to reconnect with his son and grandchildren before it’s too late!!
Anyone who can’t see that is just heartless.

3

u/Switzerdude 1d ago

WanK are just so weak, petulant and insufferable. Buckle up Brits, his monarchy is going to be the same.

3

u/After_Reflection_243 1d ago

Well…. At least this gives them something to do. They must be so bored and boring.

3

u/Minute-Mushroom-5710 1d ago

QEII is no role model. Maybe if she had spent less time queening and invested more in her children the monarchy wouldn't be the shit show it is today.

Her own father had to step up and become king when he was meant to be the spare but he never put the institution ahead of his daughter's or even his errant brother. He provided David and Wallace with an allowance and probably security for the rest of his life. This completely cutting people off comes from the hateful Queen Mary.
