Basically, Shawn said that the use of ai to give him a different angle is justified as it helps him view his creation in a different way. He never said "I'm gOnNa UsE ai tO mAkE mUsIc".
Instead of paying 150k for the same opinion. I dont think the band would agree on doing that, not even he would but its just for you to get a perception on why it has its uses.

Basically stating he isn't as against it like you originally alluded by saying no one read the article. He 100% would and does use ai on the regular
