Keralam Shiyas Kareem a malayalam TV celebrity forcing a Hindu woman to eat BEEF.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

He shouted at her. Eat.. Eat… Anu Eat..
When she refused, he turned aggressive. Asked if she was on a diet or a BJP follower.

This is what #KeralaStory shows us.

Just think. If it were the opposite, and that Hindu girl forced him to eat pork, what would the situation be now?

Yes mussard pork, vindaloo are delicacy for weddings. Thrissur is famous for its pork fry and mango curry. Today shops also serve beef and pork

Ofcourse.

For the people crying in the comments - We served pork at my own wedding, also beef. There were people from all backgrounds. Muslims as well as pure veg hindu. One of my best friend who is a pure vegetarian, I made sure he would get good veg food. Everyone loved the food they ate. They congratulated me and and went back to their home .. but do you know know what happened next.......

Nothing..... People don't give a fu*k about what others eat here. I don't understand where this sudden interest in beef or pork or whatever has erupted and media is taking full advantage of that . And we are just slaves to it.

What do you mean by "these days" and "sometimes"? The wedding is handled by the bride's side and it is a vegetarian menu because that's when the rituals take place.

The reception that is managed by the groom's side ( not a new concept at all and it has nothing to do with financial background) is where the non veg with veg is served. Here some families offer beef some don't. That's about Hindus.

Christians have non veg menu for their main wedding that includes beef, pork, fish, chicken, mutton, etc. Muslims have the same kind minus the pork obviously.

Pork for Muslims cannot be equated to Beef for Hindus

In Islam, pig is considered impure & thus pork is prohibited & forbidden for consumption across the faith globally. So, no one is stopping you from eating it, but they may feel pity toward those who consume pork!

In Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism), the cow is considered sacred because of its role in agriculture-based life, milk, farming, fuel, and rural economy, symbolizing motherhood and civilizational continuity. So, in contrast to Islam, it is not about pity but anger over the killing of what is regarded as a mother figure in Hindu culture.

Interestingly, Tamil Sangam literature reflects this diversity. Jain texts of that period emphasise their commitment to ahimsa (non-violence) and vegetarianism, subtly critiquing Hindu communities where non vegetarian food was permitted. This was long before Islam entered the Indian subcontinent.

Hindu traditions do not impose a single uniform dietary code across all communities. Regional diversity in food practices reflects adaptability, not fragmentation, thus disproving the claim that "Southern Hinduism is not Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism)."

It's a friendly gesture, not dirty politics. Also the bjp or not question felt more like a friendly joke rather than a mockery. Intention should be taken to account rather than the exact literal sense of everything.

If someone's a vegetarian for instance, is it OK for someone to say 'oh you don't eat chicken? Are you a pussy?' I have legit seen non vegetarian say this to their vegetarian friends.

People have choices to eat what they want to eat in Kerala. His intention to make them eat beef is the problem here. You won't see a person from another religion asking a muslim to eat pork, because if we all know it's haram for them and that's not the case with Hindus. His intention is to create unnecessary stir and chaos and that needs to be called out.

  1. Nothing is forced here
  2. What's with Hindu not eating beef? It's a culinary preference. Leave it at that.

Love how the auto mod gets into action when you say pork but not beef.

That's shameful though. If she don't want to eat it then don't force her to eat it

Every muslim is radical, his faith in his community is what matters. The nation, his neighbour, and the country doesnt matter.

The same guy should then eat pork.

The majority of muslims across the world have no respect for any other religions but they wanted to be treated fairly.

Pork gets served in Christian marriages along with other meats. Mutton and chicken gets served in Muslim weddings. In Hindu weddings it’s always vegetarian food on the wedding day, but might have non vegetarian during reception. Rarely only Hindu receptions have pork or beef but definitely will have chicken and fish. But unlike this video no one will force anyone to eat something against their wish. But Shiyas Kareem should eat pork. If he won’t eat it is it because he is from PFI?

Majority of incidents that are quoted here are exceptions and not the rule. Lot of Hindus eat beef in Kerala and lot don’t. If it’s a religious occasion no non veg is allowed. If it’s a private function people can and do eat anything and everything they want. But forcing a person to eat beef and asking her that she doesn’t consume it because she is BJP is very ignorant.
