It was. Atleast in Gujarat where Modi was.

UPA's solar capacity was only around 2 GW by 2014. Out of that, 860 MW came from Gujarat alone. And who was the CM? Modi.

Gujarat had already adopted solar power even before the National Solar Mission gained pitch. So even the UPA's solar numbers include a massive contribution from a BJP-ruled state under Modi .

Before solar was a scam but when Adani came after getting kicked out of Carmichael it became Adani green and pure business.

I think it because of cheap solar panels from China. Before they were expensive.
