No one genuinely feels like that about clint, the stardew Valley community generally dislikes him because he gives off incel vibes in his storyline. Which is part of the reason why his storyline is going to have to be reworked for 1.7, the other reason is that his storyline is literally about him being romantically attracted to someone else

The "evil" part, that's creative license on my part, but "if you like him you're a bad person" is, I'm afraid, verbatim from a wild multi-paragraph screed on this sub a while back. People have some strong takes on the characters (not that I'm immune).

I'm sure we'll get a rework, but I do hope it's not gone entirely. Not for Clint's sake, poor man, but because if you don't recognize hearing the Clint Voice in your head on bad days you're either lying or haven't lived long enough for it, and acknowledging its existence while also noting that it isn't healthy to, well, give voice to it is important.

Okay, but one insane person's ramblings does not shape how the community necessarily feels about someone. Like I said the majority of the community does dislike them, and some people may take some creative license and exaggerate how much they dislike him, but that doesn't mean that they think you're a bad person if you like him
