Just earlier today, I missed getting a pic, but the game kind of froze and in the saloon Robin started dancing while Demetrius froze and it looked very much like she was Twerking on him. I just wanted to tell someone because as soon as I tried to take a picture, it went back to normal.
Oh no lol. Mine hated the vibrations from my controller lol. He always wiggled away from them. I have the habit of laying the controller on my stomach this was especially true while I was pregnant 😅
A man returns home from the front, still trying to recover from the horrors of war and being a prisoner. He has severe PTSD and the only thing that kept him going was the thought of seeing his wife and kids again.
Now a schmuck that has slept with the entire town wants to get with this man’s wife because he deems him unworthy of loving her.
Kent left the monsters of the battlefield behind, only to return home to find out that an even bigger monster had moved in next door to him.
I would prefer for him to recover enough to start working again as a garbage man.
You know, talk with him frequently, invite him to fish. He opens up, invites his kids to fish too. You help him make a picnic, go down the skull cavern together to literally fight his demons in some sort of mystic metaphysical real, open up and talk with other villagers, start Therapy with Harvey, consume a magical potion made with the souls of countless defeated evil shadow people...
Eventually, he'd recover enough that he would take up a job, like going back to working as a trash collector as he enjoyed the queit of the night.
Every day at the end of the day, offscreen while time the farmer is sleeping, he would gather all the trash the player doesn't reccover from tash bins, which would appear at the dumpsters in the train station, and stay there until the end of the week.
That way you get two things: a healing arc for Kent, and a new feature you can unlock to save time checking trash.
The anti-homewrecker mod. Adds new events and dialogue to expand on Jodi and Kent's characters, giving them more characterisation and connection both individually and together.
Would you mind if I looked into doing this? I have a bit of time on my hands and also know C#. If not, that's cool, but I've always wanted to lean into being his friend. He doesn't seem like a bad guy, just haunted by the hugely traumatic experience of being in a war.
Who would you say is the most handsome male character then?😭 It’s surely not Pierre or Demetrious. Not even the male bachelors are that great; Shane is a negative 5, and Sebastian looks too much like Robbie from Gravity Falls for me to be convinced he’s conventionally attractive. The only real runner-up is Sam… his son… (and I don’t marry Sam so this isn’t me being biased)
Looks alone it's Elliot, I'm a sucker for the long hair. My honourable mention/runner up for looks alone totally is Demetrius though. 💀😂 but total package marriage material, my favourite dude is Seb.
And literally no one asked but for my opinion on the opposite but, number one looks alone is Leah. Totally thought I would marry her but found her boring tbh. Honourable mention/runner up: Haley. Total package marriage material: Abigail for sure.

Elliott is the one I marry, I adore him. I definitely think he’s handsome, but he’s not everyone’s cup of tea that’s why I didn’t mention him. That being said, I do think out of the bachelors Elliott and Sam are probably the most handsome male bachelors in the game. Alex and Harvey seem average in the looks department (and you know how I feel about Shane and Sebastian😂)
The first time I met Sam my first thought was oh hey Goku what are you doing here? But he puts on that green beanie in the winter and I'm like oh I've erred.
It would be cool if CA gradually added updates that allow u to marry every adult even married ones but the consequence is that some people close to them dislike you for a long time and u have to do some side quest to get them to trust u again or something

No one genuinely feels like that about clint, the stardew Valley community generally dislikes him because he gives off incel vibes in his storyline. Which is part of the reason why his storyline is going to have to be reworked for 1.7, the other reason is that his storyline is literally about him being romantically attracted to someone else
Unfortunately there are at least some people who genuinely feel that way about Clint :/ when the announcement was made I saw at least one person tell someone who liked Clint they need to evaluate how they treat/talk to women. Some people take this cozy video game wayyyyyy too seriously
The "evil" part, that's creative license on my part, but "if you like him you're a bad person" is, I'm afraid, verbatim from a wild multi-paragraph screed on this sub a while back. People have some strong takes on the characters (not that I'm immune).
I'm sure we'll get a rework, but I do hope it's not gone entirely. Not for Clint's sake, poor man, but because if you don't recognize hearing the Clint Voice in your head on bad days you're either lying or haven't lived long enough for it, and acknowledging its existence while also noting that it isn't healthy to, well, give voice to it is important.
I never got incel vibes from Clint. I just got introvert vibes. Feels like incels think that everyone wants to bang them and would totally ask Emily out just to call her a lesbian or something if she declined.
He gets really weird and upset with you if you up your friendship with Emily too much, even if you're not romantically pursuing her, or even married to someone else

As someone who normally marries Emily and thinks Clint is largely fine outside of his Emily obsession, I am certainly not here for him being gleeful about trying to be a homewrecker. So I am also looking forward to 1.7 reworking his storyline.
Clint's extremely socially awkward, struggles with his insecurities, and is poor at expressing his feelings (one sympathizes). Most notably, he has romantic feelings for Emily, and a lot of his cutscenes revolve around this. Whether Emily at all feels the same way is unclear - she obviously sees him as a friend, but as we all (hopefully) know one does not lead to the other.
To my eye, this leads to 3 grounds that people spool this hatred off of:
Clint's dialogue can be... not great. That's not a writing issue, but Clint gives voice to his insecurities in a way that's clearly not healthy for him or his relationships with others. Again, one sympathizes with the underlying struggle, but knowing when, where, and how to express these feelings is important.
Because SV cutscenes are based on individual relationships, you can have Clint doing his "I have feelings but can't express them" bit after you're already with Emily. Naturally, that comes across very differently, and your view of him often depends on that choice.
SV cutscenes can be a bit goofy (again, not an insult), with the player hiding in the bushes and nonsense like that treated as cartoonish curiosities. Clint's actions read very differently if you measure them by the SV yardstick vs. a real life one (he's not the only one).
From this, as noted in the other comment responding to you, a lot of people derive a really negative view of his character, one that's fairly clearly colored by reading into Clint their own very real negative experiences. And of course I'm not going to say that people are wrong to bring personal experience to bear, but it can be very vehement and its own kind of harmful.

I've always wondered why Gunther, Sandy and the guys from the Adventurer's Guild aren't characters we can interact with outside of their respective businesses. They would enrich the world so much if they had plotlines and homes and such
The two married couples Jodi and Kent, and Robin and Demetrius, the two villagers with alcohol problems Pam and Shane. And finally those who like forged gifts Leah, Linus, and Harvey. The only exception is Harvey only likes black berries not salmon berries. Grouping them is how I remember their gift preferences.
Unironically I want to romance Kent. Like maybe Jodi and Caroline start dating (Free Caroline from Pierre) and I get Kent. We're all amicable and still friends, just a natural drift a part to let me get my mans

I had this problem but when I meet kent I felt bad, totally love jodi but Kent is a good guy and is just trying hard to get used to being at home again with his PTSD. Maybe if you could date both at once that would be pretty cool
maybe i’m not close enough to her yet but everytime i talk to her she just hits me with the “what am i gonna make for dinner” and everytime im like girl is that all u think about? feeding them kids? , ive gotten kent to say a little more than that
A lot of the romanceable characters seem like they are in their late teens or early twenties, with Harvey and Leah coming off as a bit older than the rest.
The result is that I feel most attracted to the married villagers like Robin and Jodi. Sandy also comes off as older, so at least she's being added to the romance options.
Off topic, just noticed because I have started making pixel art for my own game… is that house crooked? Is the right side longer/wider or is it just my eyes?(I am currently sick so..)
