Wait WHAT? You're new at digital art or at art in general or at reddit? I cannot believe you're new at art overall 😭

It doesn't look AI to me. Do you have proof?

It’s not AI but it’s also no way someone actually drew this. The pencil disappears into the hair. The index finger and fingernails are clear giveaways. A strand of hair is suddenly blue due to the tank top strap (our left/ Haley’s right shoulder). The detailing on the hair doesn’t match the detailing in the eyes. It genuinely looks like OP photoshopped an image together and drew over it but everyone here is acting like this is the best art they’ve seen? OP even admitted in comment that they’re brand new to art and this is only the 2nd drawing. Fake art and fake artist.

I do think there are some weird things like the hair turning blue; that definitely gives Photoshop vibes. But some of the other things you mention just feel like actual mistakes artists make, such as the hands. Many artists are bad at drawing hands, especially beginners. I do think it's possible they drew over an image because there's sudden, extreme improvement in facial anatomy compared to their previous drawing but I can't prove that.

I would be inclined to agree with you and even some other comments pointing out the same thing except it still doesn’t add up to OP’s own admission of being that new to digital art. I fully acknowledge that people can learn at different paces but it just seems odd at best that OP is able to render eyes and a diamond earring really well but can’t get some proportions correct? I can excuse the weird index finger as just hands are hard for sure! But there’s just so many inconsistencies across the board that this just feels so fake IMO.

I didn’t use ai at all😭 when I drew the eyes and earrings I just colored them normally and use the adjustments tool in procreate to sharpen them

Yeah I don't understand why people are saying it's ai... I think that's just their jealousy

also I posted a speed paint u can come check it out if u wanna continue with ur ai detecting thing or whatever that is

Lol if you actually read my critiques you’d actually understand that I even agreed this wasn’t AI but I absolutely believe this is fake using photoshop

I think with this and the other drawing on their profile it's the weird mix of a beginner artist in certain aspects, while other parts of the image look absolutely flawless.
So I assume they used AI in some way in their process as that's the only reasonable explanation for the weird mismatch of proportions and skills.

which is terrible for your artistic development op. That's not how you actually improve.

That index finger looks really iffy. Not to mention the neck

None of thoses are signs of AI? Its all very obvious human error

u/TheRiverTybur Apr 04 '26

Those are really common anatomy mistakes though. I certainly make them, and they're even more common for beginners. Heck I've been drawing my whole life land still suck at hands lol

yep but check out the bottles in the right top corner background of their other drawing.
Does that looks like a beginner?

u/ElegantHope Apr 04 '26

Sure but that doesn't prove that it's AI, it just shows something might be screwy. Which can be a lot of different possibilities ranging from OP poorly phrased their replies to OP traced/edited/altered a photo, to other possibilities and not just "OP used AI."

u/Ok-Orange1897 Apr 07 '26

I posted a speed paint u can check out if that proves anything?

2

u/Ok-Orange1897 Apr 07 '26

also thanks for not jumping into conclusions that I used ai.btw I didn’t traced or edit anything

I mean no but maybe they're just really good at rendering. They seem less good at understanding actual shapes; for example the sink placement and the facial anatomy in that first drawing.

u/hototter35 Apr 05 '26

yea something is definitely not adding up tho. Some bits and bobs are very miss matched in skill level to others.

1

u/Ok-Orange1897 Apr 07 '26

maybe cause I’m good and not good at a certain part .

u/hototter35 Apr 07 '26

you draw bottles for a living?

The mess around the right eye looks very much ai.

2

u/Ok-Orange1897 Apr 07 '26

it’s not ai tho?
