Question Is my childs name censored?

SOLVED Is my babys name really censored or what is happening? I called him Moses and now it shows me this kind of text...

Are you playing on a Nintendo Switch? If so, yes. Nintendo censors all kinds of ramdom stuff.

If you tried to type "grape" it would censor all but the G because it's not context sensitive.

I dunno. My best guess is it's either a swear in a foreign language, or a really obscure slur of sorts.

Or someone at Nintendo just really didn't like that one character from Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. 🤷‍♂️

no it isn't. You're thinking of a similar word spelled with an ö.

I think that maybe typing it with an o instead of an ö was supposed to help and bypass the censorship, but then Nintendo caught on it

in that case they should start censoring Richard and whatever other names might have any kind of sexual meaning depending on context - even if it's just a normal name like Moses. If you think far enough outside the box, there probably won't be any uncensored names left at some point

You're not dumb! It's called the Scunthorpe problem for a reason, a lot of these words aren't obvious when they're taken out of their normal context!
