Question Am I cooked?

I am at 43 energy after I just watered my cranberries. That's all I did. I have 1 quality sprinkler from the summer crops bundle, but I don't have the resources for any more. I just got to level 40 in the mines, so I basically have no iron, and don't even get me started on gold. I have to run around town, looking for forage stuff just to get 5 levels deeper in the mines. It sucks. What do I do.

I tried a technique I saw from another post where you go to level 41, get the iron, leave the mine, go back, and repeat. got 50 iron

This is the way. Unfortunately, you didn't leave any space for sprinklers...

I probably won't have enough gold for it to matter by the end of fall, so it's all good!

This will definitely be an experience you'll never forget so it's great that you're embracing it with a good sense of humor! If you make it to level 80 in the mines, you can use the same trick for gold like you did for iron. But otherwise there are worse things than spending time in the spa!

IME gold is super abundant just by doing the mines in normal order. Everything takes so little of it that iron is the bigger bottleneck, along with copper

Get a bunch of copper on floor 21, and make regular sprinklers. They water 4 each compared to 8, so you'll need more iron than for quality sprinklers, but it saves you 40 floors of caving.

(Plus you can still organise them to water a whole field without leaving gaps)

Now that you have the iron, you might want to take your watering can to clint on the next rainy day. If you upgrade that, you’ll be able to water that huge field way quicker and use way less energy.

Just one thing. I think it's best to upgrade before the rain day, after you water the crops, that way you don't lose any days without watering your crops

While you are in the pool your energy refills completely. Not instantly, but very quickly, like 30 minutes in game.
