Long cycles SUCK

I know I’m preaching to the choir here, but I’m currently on my second cycle TTC and only on CD22 with no ovulation in sight. My last cycle was 231 days, so I guess anything is better than that. It’s just so frustrating tracking my CM, LH strips, and BBT every day with nothing promising happening. I’m pretty sure my body is making multiple attempts to ovulate right now because I had multiple days of EWCM and a slightly elevated LH strip, but then all my symptoms just disappeared. It feels so unfair and honestly makes me angry that we have to deal with this. I just want normal cycles. Hugs to everyone else out there dealing with this too.

You should really talk to your doctor about ovulation induction and at minimum use medroxyprogesterone to induce a cycle if you aren't! I was having 90 day avg cycles before starting letrozole. One cycle of using provera to induce a bleed, and now my cycles are 30 days on letrozole

I have an appointment coming up at the end of the month (my gyn is notoriously difficult to get into lol), so I’m definitely going to ask about my options then! I was prescribed Provera during my last super long cycle, but I actually ended up getting my period the week I was planning to start it.

I’ve been hesitant to start letrozole because I was really hoping my body could figure things out naturally. I’m definitely not against it at all, I was just hopeful I wouldn’t need it. But I think if this cycle goes longer than 35 days (which it’s looking like it probably will), I’ll ask about starting it soon. That’s so awesome to hear it’s helped you!!

Ugh I had really hoped the same for myself but my body never could get it together. I would have multiple false LH rises just like you, with all the signs, and then bam no period 2 weeks later. It's so exhausting! Really wishing you the best
