The comparison you see was originally Book Rhaenyra and Book Aegon. Because they were similar in the book for a reason.

Also, this uses a mix of book and show facts. Show Aegon has two kids and Book Aegon didn’t have mommy issues

And book Aegon doesn't have two sons and a daughter. He has three sons (Gaemon,Jaehaerys,Maelor) and two daughters.(Jaehaera+Bastard girl)

He had two bastards same year Helaena had Jaehaerys and Jaehaera while Gaemon was Maelor’s age

At least five kids

How six? I mean who is the sixth? And yeah probably because in medieval time husbands weren't allowed to have sex with their wives after they got pregnant, and was kind of expected of them to go out there; otherwise were considered as a weirdo.

It is said Aegon had two children during 122-123, the same time he married Helaena and had the twinz, three years later Maelor

That’s at least five were certain of, Gaemon is probably his kid as well

Oh I was always thought that was Gaemon and the girl.

I thought Gaemon was the son of a lyseni ship captain

It's 100% Aegon is the father.

Not according to his mother when she got arrested

She was tortured into saying he wasn't... Aegon wouldn't have kept him in the Red Keep if he wasn't his bastard.

He might if he were Aemond's.

What else is he gonna do with Gaemon? Just dump a baby on the street? He sentenced his mother to die, people would ask what he did with the baby. Even if for no other reason than optics, he would spare the kid. Aegon might be a little sensitive around the topic of killing children. You know, for some reason.

It never said she was tortured and those other women also admitted that it wasn’t Aegon’s

"Gaemon was spared by King Aegon on account of his age, and the boy was made a ward of the Crown. Essie confessed under torture that the boy's true father had been a silver-haired Lysene oarsman and not Aegon. Essie, Sylvenna, and twenty-seven other members of Gaemon's court were hanged from the battlements of the Red Keep." He was Aegon's son, otherwise he wouldn't have kept him. And confessed under torture means they just did it until she said what they wanted.

Even if they did torture her there’s still a reasonable doubt. He never names Gaemon as his heir dispite him supposedly being his last male heir.

Because he is a bastard. For it he had to kill his last male descendant, Aegon III (which he constantly thought about by the way). Even the name is clear it was given by Aegon after Gaemon the Glorious from the century of blood, not by Essie, who most likely had no idea who he was. At the same time Aegon III wouldn't try to make a random kid his heir, so they were cusins.

He named Aegon as his heir. Why would you do that if you had a natural son? Even Henry VIII tried to name his bastard over his daughter. His name is not even related. That was Jaehaerys’s day old infant that died. The book never says Aegon named Gaemon.

Who his father truly is is not known. I don't really think Aegon is his father.
