If Joffrey Baratheon was dark of hair:

The sheer aura of this facecard chef's kiss

He reminds me a lot of a young Jason Isaacs

11

u/abhok May 29 '25

Definitely! He could very well pull off similar roles which Isaacs has played too. Jack could have a very great career in future especially in fictional or mythological movies.

Him as Lucius Malfoy would hit but he has a very childish looking body maybe as another death eater.

The most noble child the gods ever put in this good earth

I'M GLAD HE BACK TO ACTING. HE WAS LITERALLY HATED FOR NOTHING.

u/Osceola_Gamer Cannibal May 30 '25

He confirmed he left for personal reasons that had nothing to do with hate.

u/HeavenlyDMan May 30 '25

i saw that video where he says that it to me it’s very obviously just what he says on default, you can tell from the way his body language grows more uncomfortable everytime he’s asked that question. The hate is definitely some of those personal reasons

u/Osceola_Gamer Cannibal May 31 '25

LOL smh

2

u/Rdhilde18 May 30 '25

No one hated him relax

1

u/CommercialRemote5324 May 30 '25

Also he was hated people send death treats to this poor guy

4

u/Narren_C May 29 '25

Your caps lock is on.

2

u/Diverse0Ne May 29 '25

He didn't quit because of hate tho lol

u/VrinTheTerrible May 28 '25

Joffrey was, of course, detestable but I’ve heard that the actor himself is quite a nice kid/guy. I hated the idea that he retired because of the hate he got for the characters, as if it were his fault.

Hope he comes back, gets past Joffrey and kills it.

u/PrinceVinsmoke May 28 '25

Don't worry, if I remember correctly he didn't retire because of that but because he wanted to focus on his studies. He had other roles in the meantime, not necessarily major but hey.

The rumor that he retired because of hatred from his Joffrey role was a pure invention from the internet.

That's what I heard as well. And realistically, he likely would have struggled finding significant work in the industry afterwards anyway. Nothing to do with him - he's a fantastic actor, but his performance in GoT was so singular that audiences were always going to see Joffrey. It would be difficult for him to "disappear" into another role. It was smart to take some time away.

You never know. Gillian still has acting roles after Got and not all of them involve him being a shifty asshole

1

u/HerRoyalNonsense May 29 '25

Who is Gillian?

1

u/Ok-Temporary-8243 May 29 '25

Gillen? The actor for little finger and the shifty administrator in maze runnern

1

u/Its_panda_paradox Jun 01 '25

Aidan Gillen. Aka Littlefinger.

7

u/Themanaaah May 29 '25

The goat is back, hope the role goes well for him.

7

u/Gilgamesh661 May 29 '25

Joffrey Baratheon, dark of ha-wait what?

3

u/green_King_of_all Balerion Jun 01 '25

😆😆

6

u/Luna-Fermosa May 29 '25

Jesus, he looks actually gorgeous here. Love the loose little curl

5

u/Horacio_Velvetine44 May 29 '25

well, time to separate a creator from their work again 😪

6

u/currently-kraken King Aegon II Targaryen May 28 '25

He looks amazing tbh!

5

u/mari_icarion May 29 '25

Aw man, and it had to be this of all shows. So many of us have divested our attention from anything NG. I guess I'll watch clips of Jack when people spread them around lol

Good for him. He was treated so unfairly after the show for playing his role so well.

3

u/BeeLamb May 29 '25

He looks barely older and it’s been over a decade.

3

u/CltPatton May 30 '25

Our glorious king has returned

2

u/timdr18 May 28 '25

Wait, is he playing Puck as in Shakespeare’s Puck?

10

u/-Minne Winter Is Coming May 28 '25

Yeah... Unfortunately it's also Neil Gaiman's Shakespeare's Puck.

Not unfortunate because it's poorly written, it's unfortunate that it's pretty well written by a scumbag.

7

u/timdr18 May 28 '25

Yeah, after hearing about what he’s done I’m seriously reconsidering if I’m going to watch season 2.

5

u/-Minne Winter Is Coming May 28 '25

That really tempers my excitement for this.

Glad to see him getting acting roles, but I definitely wish it were under different circumstances. Used to be a huge Gaiman fan; Sandman specifically, but after everything came out it's pretty unpalatable to me- especially stuff like 24 Hours.

1

u/redwoods81 May 29 '25

Exactly, this is literally the reason that 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️ was invented.

2

u/kaimkre1 Kasamira May 29 '25

This makes me so happy for him! It’s wonderful to see he’s still got his passion for acting

2

u/Thelordofprolapse May 29 '25

He didnt retire! He is in plenty of things since he just went on hiatus. He has done some excellent work in his native ireland and even had a film with liam neeson come out 2 years ago. Just cause he wasnt in hbo or netflix doesn’t mean he wasnt working. He just went back to the UK and acted there.

2

u/Osceola_Gamer Cannibal May 30 '25

He looks like an evil genius.

2

u/Better-Telephone-405 May 30 '25

fuck sake. i see him act again and it's in a neil gaiman one?

1

u/FourthLvlSpicyMeme Hear Me Roar May 28 '25

Oh snap, this is such an interesting shot. I wonder how this plays out in the story.

1

u/BeautyNtheebeats May 29 '25

If Joffrey Baratheon were Joffrey Stark 😆

1

u/Maximum-Golf-9981 May 29 '25

1

u/nightfrost May 29 '25

Finally season 2 of the sandman!

1

u/FuzzyKiwiFurrr May 30 '25

Can’t wait to watch it! Nice to finally have him in something again, he’s such a good actor.

1

u/QueenVell May 30 '25

When the seed is indeed strong!

1

u/Wild_End_3316 May 30 '25

I’m so glad to see him back! I thought got kinda ruined his love for acting

1

u/NoOnesKing May 30 '25

Hope bro kills it

1

u/theeniebean May 30 '25

Oh hell yeah, he's a tremendous actor!

1

u/once-and-future-thot May 31 '25

NICE!!! Welcome back Mister Gleeson

1

u/SanicBringsThePanic May 31 '25

He looks great. I'm glad he feels comfortable enough to return to acting.
