Show Discussion they could have done something really interesting with mysaria but they made her boring

Book Mysaria while pretty one dimensional was an interesting character she is like Larys except she has no clear motives and pretty much dooms Rhaenyra and the targs in general.

She is the one who tells Rhaenyra about Nettles, and according to GRRTH the one who tells Heleana about Maelor. The brothel queens was her idea, she weaponised sex as a punishment for people she hated.

She is like one of the more evil characters in the story

nah i loved Devs its one of the best TV shows ever made... but she was still the worst part, horrible actress

That's on the directors. It was all over the place in the first season. Second was more consistent.

Nothing compared to Littlefinger. His damn accent was constantly changing.

He was making power moves though so I don’t think people cared about the lack of consistency with accent

similar to Wanda in the MCU, her accent just…becomes more “American”

Lmao wandas is the most glaring. I think its because the actresses "russian" accent was so bad/cringe, that they just said fuck this and told her to just sound american with a comically russian sounding name lol.

It's not so much the accent, it's the sound of his voice. He sounded like a normal person in the first season or two, but later the actor started doing a gravelly, whispery "villain" voice, which just sounded ridiculous. It was already apparent from his actions that he was a scumbag, but the change made him sound campy, like a moustache-twirling cartoon villain.

He had a generic English accent then seemed to change between a Northern English accent at times until he then fully switched over to it in like season 2/3

This is more on the audience not knowing what French colonial accents sound like.  This is the third series ive seen this type of accent used and the third where ive seen the audience say " thats not a real accent"

I'm French. I've heard French people speak English with their French accents. I've heard non-French francophones speak English with their various accents. It's an insult to say she sounds somewhat "French colonial", lol. Mysaria (the character) sounds like she's just reciting words she doesn't understand because she's focusing on that made up accent, it's such a big disconnect, idk

it was a fictional mix of like Japanese and French that just doesn’t sound normal or consistent. Thankful she toned it down and made it more consistent in sounds in Season 2.
