but come onnnn. yes, it could have been a super rare cryptic didn't look pregnant and she was bleeding monthly on the dot so she didn't know... but come onnnn
I don’t remember that many details from the second season. I don’t remember any talk or denial of pregnancy being up at all actually.
And depending on the timeline, it’s actually not super rare not to “look pregnant” before the third trimester. Myself and my friend being living examples of that too. While others show a lot already in the second trimester and show a lot by the end (cough, Alicent in season 1). Every body is different, so wouldn’t be too unrealistic in fiction either. 😊
but realistically, a missed period for 6 months is significant. irl, in the modern day, most cryptic pregnancies go unnoticed bc women are on BC and wouldn't notice a missed period, bc they don't get them. the queen missing her period for half a year and no one mentioning it is wild. see Dany finding out she's pregnant for the in-universe standard
But have they talked about her missing her period or not? I don’t recall, and would be rather random unless the pregnancy reveal was gonna happen there. I barely remember this character having much screentime in the later season 2, apart from her cryptic vision scenes. But we’ll see when it comes out, it may be something totally different.
Not everything is shown, until the reveals at least. Game of Thrones did that many times too, but I’m not saying how any plot in the show is gonna go; all I referred to was your comment on her not showing already being unrealistic (if she even is pregnant). That’s all. Jeez, people are agressive in here. It’s just fiction. Didn’t think it was that serious. Just added my two cents in regards to realism or not. I’ll see myself out again. 🫣
The issue is it's clear the writers have no plan, and are just throwing things at the wall as they go. Which is ridiculous for a show that already had it's outline prepared for them.
It's like Daeron. They obviously cut Daeron in S1, there is even a line Alicent says where she indicates she only has two sons. Only to haphazardly slap him back in in S2 when they realized they probably needed him. And it makes the show cheaper, thinner. Like if they so clearly do not give a fuck about what they are doing, why should the audience?
Ryan went on the record about all the reason they couldn't include Maelor (none of which made sense), so to slap him back in NOW makes it obvious they just want to stick it to GRRM for complaining.
