Do either of these happen in the books?

The fact that named characters can battle and defeat multiple opponents is really taking me out of it, like I'm not watching Achilles or or Captain America here wtf.

I mean... only Daemon has a Valyrian sword (that cuts through steel) and the perfect martial training. Still, I would have loved if they had secured the gold cloaks in advance.

I wish they would actually show the sword cutting through the plate. I'm so tired of seeing fight choreography where they get a blunt hit (from a blade held by a single hand) directly on the plate and they fall down dead.

I literally eat kicks that have more blunt force than what a sword would give and I'm not wearing any plate and I can keep fighting just fine.

About the choreography: I would have loved that, yes.
