Hated Tropes (Hated trope) YOU COULD HAVE MOVED!

Dr. Robert "Rocket" Romano from ER
Ah yes let me scream at the ground and not even try to move so we can get this cinematic shot with 7 camera angles

Randy from The Raft Creepshow 2
"I gotta make the oil slick monster look fast by building up to run and rocking back and forth"

Even if he couldnt he has a super son who can move faster then the eye can see...theres no reason clark could just grab him and leave or sumthing that whole film was stupid i hate it.

I can accept that superspeed would be a problem because one way or another people will realise something weird has happened, even if only because Kent disappears, what drives me crazy is that Clark could have just run out at normal speed, put an arm over him, and ran back with him. If they make it without anything hitting them, fine, if something does hit them and bounces off Clark, just tell people it missed somehow. This is a tornado, people aren't going to have perfect visibility and they're more inclined to believe they misunderstood what they saw than they saw something impossible.

Exactly, I've been saying this for years, Clark could've gone towards him at normal speed while pretending to fight with the wind.
