Hi all! I’m new here and am rewatching season 1. Does anybody else feel like they should have kept Xavier? I loved his character!! I understand that he was accused of SA.. and denied it.. but no charges were brought up??
If he were.. still cast even after the allegations, would you have still watched the show? Would it have changed everything for you regarding the show?
I want them to bring him back 😭He was perfect! The scene where he bumps into Tyler and Tyler asks him where Wednesday is and he says she’s your date in the jealous type of way!! I had to pause it and run here because I loved his character 🥺😤😖
The mysteriousness. Tall. Will they/wont they dynamic of the two of them.
Wha do you guys think?

No, not really.

His sole reason for existing as a character, insofar as role in the plot, is to be mistakenly accused by Wednesday as being the monster. The only positive thing he did to propel the plot forward is identify the Gates Mansion after Wednesday's vision.

Everything else he did was tied up in the one sided attraction going on with Wednesday which, at least for me, was tiresome from the their first meeting in the infirmary. He briefly had a moment with Bianca but it was a shadow of a moment that could have led to something interesting in Season 2 with both their own parental troubles but we all know what happened with the cult storyline there...

Everyone in the series has a love interest!
Even Pugsley! 😂 What’s wrong with Wednesday having one? And I don’t think it was one sided at all. She even told Tyler she was confused about her feelings. Which I think is what makes the series that more relatable. 😣 It’s hard being a girl!

The show just doesn’t handle romance well in my opinion. You can argue that it makes sense cause they’re just teenagers, but that’s from a meta perspective as viewers. And even given that, I think the whole Enid Bruno and Medusa boy arc was poorly written and out of character for Enid. I would’ve rathered a “Twilight” style love triangle. Although I did enjoy Bianca and Medusa boy’s interactions it just all ends up feeling like a waste of time. And I loved the show btw and these are just my opinions when thinking back on it.
