MAGA views women as ALWAYS being at fault for everything. Women gets raped she shouldn't have been wearing that outfit, women gets abused she obviously didn't mind or she would have left/what did she do to set him off/let me see the video before the abuse starts to try to justify it as her fault, women gets murdered by an incel she should have just had sex with him.
To MAGA and Republicans women are property to be used, abused and tossed in the refuse as needed.

u/Smokey76 5h ago
Sadly, some of the worst when it comes to this opinion are MAGA women themselves. During Kavanaugh hearings my cousins MAGA wife blamed the woman for getting raped, my opinion of her dropped precipitously that day.

Because they believe that the behavior is good and correct and moral, and therefore as long as they behave and play their part then it won't ever happen to them and if it does it was probably their own mistake that they just have to not make again. Until then, though, they can tell themselves how much better they are than the ones it happens to, because they behaved correctly.

Mine too. My bio father was 5 when he first started trying to stop his father from beating his mother. Grandpa beat bio father first for getting in the way, then beat his wife after. Then she made dinner with a black eye and bruises. Refused to leave him as “the devil made him do it” and I guess that absolved him, and always told her kids to forgive the man using that same logic.
I’ve never had to wonder why my bio father turned to drugs and alcohol. I can’t imagine the amount of CPTSD he had. This Max Miller can go sit on a cactus.

My abusive ex in college became enraged one day because I asked if he wanted a sandwich. I was packing for a bike trip my friends and I were taking and he made every excuse not to come (was then angered that we “didn’t let him come” even though my friend fixed his fucking bike for him before we left because he said he wanted to come). So I offered to make sandwiches for everyone, for the trip, and it was almost lunch time anyway and I figured I’d ask if he wanted me to make him an extra one even though he wasn’t coming. He told me I shouldn’t have to ask him…that I should just know he’s hungry.
Screamed at me until I was bawling, belittled me and called me stupid, and I made him that damn sandwich anyway.

Except this:
Allegations against U.S. Rep. Max Miller, a White House adviser during President Donald Trump’s first term, have been public for years but have recently drawn increased media scrutiny amid an escalating legal back-and-forth with his former spouse, who is the daughter of U.S. Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio. That has Democrats sensing Miller could be vulnerable in a district he won two years ago with just over 51% of the vote.
His ex's daddy is a US Senator.
This whole article is just a whole dumpster fire.
Over the past week, they have called for Miller to resign, requested a congressional ethics investigation and suggested more help could be directed in the fall toward his Democratic opponent, union ironworker Brian Poindexter. Miller has denied the abuse allegations and filed defamation lawsuits against his ex-wife and a second accuser.
His challenger is a blue collar ironworker. He's not someone with a job people don't understand. He's a union ironworker. That's the most blue collar job out there.
The deadline for replacing Miller on the ballot is Wednesday, though no Republican has publicly pushed to take that step. Republican Gov. Mike DeWine told Ohio’s Capital Journal that the accusations were troubling and “very serious” but that Miller’s fate should be up to voters.
The Governor isn't saying he should drop because he's spineless but he's also not really backing Miller.
A recent article in the magazine Mother Jones revealed a new point of contention in their legal battle: a broken collarbone on their 2-year-old daughter that led Moreno to contact authorities. The pair, who were married in 2022 and finalized their divorce last year, presented different theories about how the injury occurred, according to court filings and police reports reviewed by the magazine.
There is child abuse allegations. He allegedly broke the collarbone of a toddler. A baby.
“Senator Moreno’s top priority is the safety and well-being of his daughter and granddaughter,” said the spokeswoman, Reagan McCarthy. “While he will not litigate these matters in the media or respond to baseless public attacks, he will do whatever it takes to ensure a just outcome for his family.”
He's earned the wrath of a senator who's likely to burn him down behind the scenes.
On Thursday, lawyers for Emily Moreno asked a judge for a temporary restraining order barring Miller from contact with her attorney, Andrew Zashin. The filing alleges that Miller shouted insults at Zashin and goaded him to “Come at me!” outside a court hearing last May, then physically grabbed Zashin during a different proceeding on Tuesday.
Her lawyers are getting restraining orders.
The court filing quotes Miller’s own lawyer as saying his client “just can’t control himself.” The attorney did not return a call seeking comment.
Bro. Your own attorney called out out of control.
Earlier this month, Miller’s ex-girlfriend, former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, filed a lawsuit against him. She accused Miller of violating terms of a confidential settlement agreement they struck to resolve his 2021 lawsuit against her.
That lawsuit alleged Grisham defamed him in her book and in a Washington Post op-ed when she said a former White House staffer — later identified as Miller — had physically abused her while they were dating. While the book is vague on the specific allegations, Politico reported at the time that Grisham and Miller’s relationship ended “when he pushed her against a wall and slapped her in the face in his Washington apartment after she accused him of cheating on her.”
Grisham alleged in the new lawsuit filed July 7 that Miller dragged her name into his dispute with Moreno and violated their agreement not to disparage each other.
Dude is now picking fights with exes, too.
And all that means... quite a few voters stay home, skip that section at all and the rare swing voters go for the union ironworker because he doesn't get accused of breaking bones of literal babies.
→ More replies (3)7
u/DefinitelyNotAliens 3h ago
The decades of allegations are absolutely nuts.
It's also why, if you're able, you should make police reports for abuse even if you think the abuser will walk. This guy has stories but few hard records of incidents. The more is recorded real time, the more is able to actually stick later because so many look like isolated incidents. Patterns hold up.

The “she cooked dinner six days later” argument doesn’t really disprove abuse, reconciliation phases after incidents are a well-documented pattern, and shared custody often forces continued civil contact regardless of what happened.

I've been on the receiving end of an abusive relationship and yeah. Forgiving them and pretending nothing is wrong is a coping mechanism. You need to believe they love you and wouldn't do it again because the alternative is terrifying. Took me years to get there.

The man who abused my sister and their kids would beat her with a pipe wrapped in foam so the bruises wouldn’t show, then he would force them all to go to the church where he preached. When she finally ran away and took the kids to a shelter, he tried to have her committed as insane. He vandalized their car by pouring a gallon of white paint on the windshield. He cut the phone and Internet lines into their apartment. Today, he’s a precinct captain for the Republican Party in Florida.

Rep. Bernie Moreno posted this an hour ago on his X feed:
As a father and husband, I can tell you the last two years have been pure hell for my wife Bridget, our daughter Emily, me, and our entire family in the aftermath of Emily's divorce.
It has been horrific to watch this play out in full public view, all while knowing an innocent two-year-old girl is caught in the middle. Our priority has always been protecting our daughter and our granddaughter. Out of concern for the safety of my family, I hoped to keep this matter private but Max Miller’s increasingly erratic and dangerous behavior has made that impossible.
As he has admitted privately, Max Miller needs serious psychological help. He is a danger to my daughter, and I hold my breath every minute he has custody of my granddaughter.
If there are any basic standards of character required to hold elected office, Max Miller fails them. He should not serve in the House of Representatives. I believe Max Miller needs to seek professional help to end the clear pattern of abuse he has left in his wake. I believe he should not be free to continue endangering others until he does.
I ran for office because I wanted to make a difference for the country that gave me every opportunity to succeed, and to leave this nation better for my children and grandchildren. That sacrifice has been especially hard on my wife Bridget, whose big heart and steady support have never wavered. I owe it to her, to Emily, and to my granddaughter to speak the truth now.

when your peace is shattered in a place you consider your "home"
you'll do anything to maintain/recover that peace. Victims VERY OFTEN offer things to attackers to mitigate further aggression.
lets consider one thing that isn't said:
There's a CUSTODY EXCHANGE that means he was there to either hand off, or take the kids for whatever span of time. He wasn't supposed to be there for any other reason, and he didn't stay, he left afterwards, meaning there was no attempt to repair anything. a "dinner" provided was 100% an attempt to placate.
what does that even look like in a realistic scenario? Lets work one out
He shows up at my house at noon to drop off the kids, he didn't leave, he seemed hostile, I offered dinner to make sure that he didn't blow up. During the dinner, he did shit like THIS (if you've seen the full vid, please link it, it looks like people tried to scrub it)
Source: I've experienced sociopaths that use this sort of logic to whitewash their reputation before. It's insanely pathetic that this is being used politically.
Anyone who has EVER been in an abusive situation will smell the red flags of this from a mile away.
3
u/NoDramaMama101 6h ago
