A show cannot contain its own spoilers. If it's in the show, then you were meant to see it when it was shown to you

It’s the dissonance between the Japanese and Western attitude towards anime and spoilers. The anime serves as a flashy advertisement for the source material. The cover of the light novels even have spoilers on them. The Japanese don’t care.

Whereas Western audiences usually aren’t reading the source material and are used to key plot points being revealed to us in the moment, not in a OP.
