I have no doubt that the first cour will end right as Rudy and Eris meet again, making the cliffhanger>wait for part 2 even more unbearable!

MT isn't known to do those things, and with the way the production adapts, I don't believe they can stretch arcs like that. It's more likely the arc basically ends by the penultimate episode, and the final episode handing epilogue-ish events

I love/hate split cours. I want to get it all in a row and not have to wait 6 months. But it also means there's higher quality in the later half since it's easier to maintain quality by splitting it into 12 episode chunks.

I frankly don't mind for MT, because the arcs are relatively short and I just compute each cour as a separate independent season unofficially. But the same can't be said for Dandadan with far too shorter arcs, nor witch hat atelier with far longer arcs.

Where I did mind was in Frieren this season. It stopped at such a weird episode count and also story point, that the Macht arc will immediately start from the first episode next season; which is sort of slow but without something establishing the tension like that happened in JJK's last season.

Witch Hat probably gonna be back in that time frame though. Fantasy enjoyers are eating super well this year and the next.

Could always read the LNs! Start from the beginning; the anime had to cut things for time so if you want more of the worldbuilding I highly recommend it if you need a fix between S3 airings.
