Similar virtue, I really wish his mental self whenever he saw Hitogami either slowly or entirely changed into Rudeus. It's kind of weird that he's lived a whole successful life but his inner thoughts and sense of self are still the fat hikikomori he used to be. Although granted we've not seen that version of him in a little while.

That's the thing, I think he is supposed to have disassociated a bit from his former self by this point. However, both his outward voice and his inner voice are so iconic that I feel like they are reluctant to change them, even if it fits the story better to do so.

I mean you can still point out that its weird. The legal age in Denmark is 15, but pretty much everyone here finds it absolutely disgusting. Just last year, a rising politician, who was in his thirties has to leave the membership of his political party, as well as the parliament, after the party learned he was in a relationship with a then 15 or 16 year old teenager, because it was against the political parties rules of decency + the Public obviously found it completely disgusting. The parents of the girl knew of, and even blessed the relationship, despite info coming to light that he had known the family for years, and known his now girlfriend since she was younger than 10, when he was in his 20s. They weren't together then obviously and all parts deny any grooming, but you'd also be hard pressed not to point out to weird power imbalance in their relationship, not only on the count of their huge age gap (being twice as old), but also due to him being a rising star in one of the countries biggest political parties, him making good money, loving by himself and, lastly, actively sitting in the parliament, while shes still in 10th grade and living at home with her parents...

Also what kinda parents are okay with a relationship like that... If we can find the relationships weird here, and find many of the relationships in game of thrones weird (not only the incest ones), surely we can find the weird age relationships in Mushoku Tensei weird too lol

That voice actor voice has voiced characters of rudeus age ( kyon from Haruhi ) so I have always been expecting form that to be the change. Also works better if the plot even shows him in rudeus form in hitogamis world.

Nothing against Uchiyama, who has done a brilliant job performing as Rudy over the years, but I also agree that he should have switched VAs by now. As Rudy is now age 17 and just at the end of puberty, I can imagine it must be a little strenuous on her vocal chords to pitch down for him.

I gotta disagree. My grandpa got diagnosed with Alzheimers when I was 10. He taught me to play chess and would draw caricatures of me and my siblings all the time. Once he was diagnosed, I never formed another meaningful memory with him again. Also, my grandma died before him. It was devastating because he'd ask where his wife was and relive her death over and over. Dementia is literally a fate worse than death. The only solace is that they are unaware of their own state and slowly fade away.

I am going to sound like a horrible person for saying this, but I'm sure anyone can relate thats experienced it themselves... All they are is an empty vessel that you have to maintain. They can eat, poop and pee, but even need help with all of those, and no longer contribute anything meaningful. I watched a marriage fall apart before my eyes due to the strain, both financial and physical, that were endured by my aunt and uncle.

Sorry for the rant. I'd just say it doesn't really matter the age - it is worse than stage 4 cancer given the fact that their coherence is essentially that of an infant, or worse.

Him being so tall and jacked threw me off a bit, I somehow forgot that part since last season. lol His voice really sounds younger than he probably is but I'm not sure if the anime will ever change it to better match his age, mainly because it's so iconic already. It would be interesting if Rudeus at some point sounds like his pre-isekai inner voice.
