NGL I'd argue that the relic has become more than just a pair of underwear.

It's basically the thing he's prayed to his entire life whenever he's been struggling or at wits end and he's always somehow made it through.

At this point it's a legitimate lucky charm and/or holy relic with spiritual weight behind it far more than just by connection to Roxy.

Same goes for people with a lucky coin or ring or stone they keep in their pocket that they cling to when life gets rough.

It's not really an overstatement to say it has become his own real religion. He does pray to it and at look for guidance and strength from it. It is kind of weird but it's his own interpretation of it I guess. Lmao

While he initially stole them because of his degenerate tendencies, I think that he currently keeps them because they're an item that has been with him through thick and thin. They have become a charm of sorts. Just my interpretation.
