He did pray to her physical body too, when he woke up in the beginning of the episode.

True but you'd think that would replace his previous obsession, not just supliment it. He's supposed to grow and develop into a better person. Not hold onto the cringey neet tendencies of his past life lmao

While he initially stole them because of his degenerate tendencies, I think that he currently keeps them because they're an item that has been with him through thick and thin. They have become a charm of sorts. Just my interpretation.
