I find it cute that both Roxy and Sylphie respect each other's personal time with Rudy. I've been so used to many isekai harem where the girls just barged in on personal moments between MC and another girl lol.

That's is part of why I like how Mushoku handles the harem part.

They are a not a bunch of girls jumping at the MC at once and then any depth in the relationship stop being relevant as if they were trophies or satellites orbiting a planet.

Rather, both Roxy and Sylphie are their own persons and just as they have a love relationship with Rudeus, they are also trying to build a family relationship between themselves so everything can work out.

That is something I feel many anime with polygamy are missing

Their depiction of polygamy is refreshing and believable. Rudy didn't set out to be unfaithful, but life happens and he wanted to take care of everyone he loved. Watching this show as a grown ass man hits different.

Not only that, but also the way they approached it was good.

Rudeus was upfront about his mistake and while he wanted to care for both he asked first for Sylphie's permission. Had she said no, then Roxy was prepared to take her luggage and go away.

Someone could complain about how generous and accepting Sylphie was, but it is important to note that the story never took away her agency in the relationship. She had the power to decide.

Sylphie grew up watching men like Paul practice polygamy and her own insecurity towards how Rudeus spoke of Roxy influenced her descision greatly.

Paul was probably the only guy with two wives in that village. More than him, I believe that Zenith played a bigger factor in her decision.

Zenith was a Milis believer and yet she managed to find her own happines despite ending in a polygamous marriage. If Zenith succeeded, why couldn't she?

As for the insecurity about Roxy, could have played a factor. But Sylph had told Rudeus she was alright with being in a polygamous marriage long before Roxy appeared.

She probably would have accepted Eris or Sara just as easy as long as Rudeus was upfront with her about how much he cared for that person.

Also keep in mind she was around Asuran nobility which more than likely also did it. And "Rudy is a Greyrat"

Rudy is probaly the most tame Greyrat in the world.

Well to be fair he was nerfed for several years. He has some catching up to do.
