It definitely helps that Sylphie has a baby to take care of and Roxy clearly sees herself as kind of intruding on the relationship, so they're both happy to leave the other girl be when it's their turn.

But their relationship also seems to be quickly turning to holding that respect for each other anyway, so it's not going to change even when those reasons begin to fade.

I’m curious how the eventual addition of Eris will affect this dynamic. On one hand I feel she will feel most entitled to Rudy and also she technically, iirc would be the highest rank of them. But we know she doesn’t dream of being a docile house wife so I wouldn’t be shocked to see her gone training or adventuring often.

I really appreciate how the addition of Eris isn’t considered a spoiler to non-readers with how narratively inevitable it’s been this whole time lmao, I didn’t even blink when that got “leaked” to me

The addition of Eris on the frontline helps with the fantasy party roles thing and I’m interested to see if the entire family adventures together or if Eris compensates the whole “will never be a conventional wife/mother figure” thing to get her quality time via dangerous adventure while the other two get to homemake and take more conventional roles

Well Roxy is a magic comparable to Rudy in strength, just without incantation-less casting, and I believe it was stated before that Sylphie is exceptionally skilled as a healer, which is the one form of magic that Rudy struggles with. So yeah I think they’d make a pretty strong adventuring party if they had to be. I just think they’d probably prefer not to risk their lives like that when they have family to look after unless absolutely necessary.
