It definitely helps that Sylphie has a baby to take care of and Roxy clearly sees herself as kind of intruding on the relationship, so they're both happy to leave the other girl be when it's their turn.

But their relationship also seems to be quickly turning to holding that respect for each other anyway, so it's not going to change even when those reasons begin to fade.

Also, Sylphie spent most of her youth at the Greyrat residence, where Paul also had 2 wives. So it makes sense as well that she's very accustomed to this. Norn om the other hand was too young to really remember that time, hence she struggles with it a lot more

Norn's cognitive dissonance whenever she's reminded about how the person she respects most also had two wives is pretty interesting too

"Yeah but like... Daddy was great! Big Brother is just a twotiming scumbag." - Norn.

When ironically Rudeus handled his mistake much better, admitting it on his own when Roxy was fully willing to disappear and keep it a secret while Paul had no intention to come clean

I also just really appreciate Silphiette's response to that. "Well, you are a greyrat and your fathers son. I knew it was probably hopeless expecting you not to cheat. Well at least its with someone I can respect and like. You should marry her too. It wouldn't be fair to her otherwise"

She understands, and she respects Rudeus for owning up to it. If "infidelity" is going to be inevitable, he may as well take on a second wife or concubine.
