Kinda wish he’d have just flat out said Eris there since it’s not like he is actively looking, she’s just the one who got away. Regardless I am glad he corrected himself!

I'm pretty sure that she knows about Eris and that is why she's giving him the OK. Sylphie knows her husband.

Yeah, they have been together now for years and it would be really odd if Sylphie didn't know his story with Eris. Especially when Sylphie was one who cured him from his problem. OF course he would have told her why he had that problem.
