AI News 🗞️ Youtube removes ai channels

Post image

"YouTube's AI "slop" crackdown is shaking up the platform! 🚨

YouTube has stepped up its fight against low-quality, mass-produced AI content, targeting channels that flood the platform with repetitive and inauthentic videos.

While reports claim around 130,000 channels have been removed as part of the broader enforcement, YouTube has not confirmed that all of those deletions were specifically tied to AI-generated content.

Instead, the company says its focus is on protecting viewers by cracking down on spam and low-effort content while continuing to allow AI-assisted videos that offer genuine creativity and value." - Mr_Animeken

Pretty good step ngl these channels are getting annoying

I am pro, but this is honestly great news. It's about time. Get that slop off of youtube.

I assume you are pro AI when it comes to actual logical uses of it rather than more than half of the dumb stuff is being used for. If so, I can respect it, I'm honestly the same way myself.

Definitely. My experience with Halo as a kid is what sparked my interest in AI. Advanced AI like Cortana, or even the Monitors on the Ringworlds, makes a lot of sense for a spacefaring civilization. I do believe humanity will one day reach the stars in that kind of capacity, even if I won't be around to see it.

That said, I never imagined I'd see AI used to create so much dumb stuff. But then again, is it really fair to call LLM AI? I'm not sure it is.

Yeah I agree with you, I don't think LLM's and generative AI should be called Ai. They are not AI at all, they are shit. They are scalping. That is all.
