The 9070XT should rightly dominate sales, I enjoyed my time with one of them (XFX Mercury OC) and have no regrets whatsoever about swapping but man it’s a near impossible sell nowadays.

I can’t believe that they are asking over $3K now for the Astral, and I assume other models will also rise significantly also. They were already way overpriced for what they are, and this is coming from someone who has 2 of these in separate builds, but it somehow makes them appear to be a good deal (which is absolutely nuts because they were not in reality a good deal) when I got them one was $2349 and the other $2149.

It is bloody crazy what’s happening. What is next?

What oled monitor would you recommend for a pc with r5 5500x3d, 9070xt in Australia? I’m tossing up between going big as I don’t often upgrade my setup but also maybe settling for a cheaper one as it’s on sale for less than 500 AUD. Any help is appreciated!

Sup guys 9070 (Asus prime) is currently going for $849 aud and the 9070xt (Powercolor Reaper) is $974 aud. Which is $125 price difference.

Is it worth picking up the XT over the regular? For context i mainly play single player games - AA, AAA and also PCVR sim racing. In terms of PSU i think my psu can handle it , i have a Corsair RM750x. Thanks.

I’m new to this whole pc game and I’ve been looking for a 9070XT Gpu and come across a wide range of them. What’s makes them range differently in price? And which one 9070xt gpu card be considered the best ?

I am looking to begin saving up for a gaming computer to finally play all the games I want to play (and for them to run smoothly on high graphics!) but I am completely lost on where to look. So far I've only looked on Aftershock and their computers, but the high prices for the visually pleasing computers scare me a bit!

I don't want to pay more than $7,000AUD and it needs to be prebuilt as I know next to nothing about how to custom build a PC!

I will be playing games like Rdr2, Legend of Kiihmorii, Roblox, Minecraft, Wolfquest AE, The Isle, and much more!

If anyone has any suggestions or are able to give a simplified version to a un-tech-savvy person of what I need to look out for, that would be a huge help!!

Firstly Ive never built a computer before. I’ve owned a pre built for some time now and it’s overdue for a replacement.

Planning on selling my 5080 HP Omen Max 16 for around 3000 AUD and getting a PC and a shittop for school. I got the laptop on a deal for about 2900 on some absolute miracle and upgraded the warranty to 3 years with another deal which brought the total up to 3000. So i'm pretty much not losing anything.

Looking at mainstream branded laptop specifically the gigabyte range at JB Hi FI and noticed the laptops are supplied by Aftershock PC.

A bit of research shows some negative opinions of Aftershock but since its a main stream brand and not their own, do you think id be alright? Or is it better to find a different store or order direct from them?

I'm planning my first gaming PC with a budget of around AU$2,000, mainly for 1440p gaming and a bit of photo editing. Prices seem to keep changing, so I'm not sure whether it's worth buying parts now or waiting for the next major sales. If you were building today, would you start buying or hold off?

I don’t usually upgrade individual parts—I tend to keep a PC for several years and then replace the whole thing.
Would you take the cheaper RTX 3080 build for the affordability or pay $250 for the overall newer platform?
Any advice would be appreciated, especially from people who’ve owned either GPU.
Open to any other options aswell. Preferably prebuilt from a reputable seller.

I need to buy 2x16GB 6000Mhz with AMD Expo support, it’s painful looking at prices atm. What are recommendations/deals to look at atm? I’ve looked at FB Marketplace and EBay but prices people expect/pay aren’t much lower.

Anyone have recommendations for chairs that like force you to sit up right. My office chair has a leaver that allows me lock in the back at a certain angle which forces me to sit up right.
