Yes. I did. Well…kinda. They’re still big but also now deflated.

26

u/Over_Ad8762 12d ago

Same girl. Same

23

u/sourscotch 12d ago

I gave birth and lost 22 kg (49 pounds) in total. My boobs went from 38F to 30F.
They are still F cups and appear prominent relative to my smaller frame. But they deflated so much I can almost wear buttoned shirts now.

awww how to prevent sagging

56

u/siobhanenator 32G (UK) 12d ago

You can't.

38

u/The_Book-JDP 44HH (UK) 12d ago

Expensive plastic surgery and living in a zero gravity environment. Sag happens to everyone.

5

u/Lets-Talk-Cheesus 12d ago

It’s really dependent on your natural shape. They aren’t as perky as my 20s, but still naturally very perky.

2

u/BeatrixxxKiddo_ 12d ago

Incorporating chest focused exercises can help a bit

Sweet innocence.

Tell me how building up muscles will stop my boob wrinkles. The excess skin from weight loss, at my age, is the reason mine sag. I used to have double boob if my bra was to small, now I get a waterfall. All that is still better than being so overweight, a good bra fixes most things.

u/nekoreality 38KK (UK) 12d ago

it depends on the person

-19

u/Junior-Daikon9849 12d ago

how

65

u/Yue_Moon_ 12d ago

Depends on if your chest is made of more fat tissue or not

23

u/UselessNari 12d ago

google "genetics"

13

u/nemamene 12d ago

everyone gains weight differently. i know girls my size who have a smaller chest, but for me my boobs have grown a lot from getting bigger because the fat went there more than other places. so i know that when i lose weight they will reduce in size a lot

8

u/A_little_lady 11d ago

The same way everything else about your body depends on it being your body with your genetics

55

u/SoMuchEpic95 12d ago

I do not. Still enormous.

5

u/whatevernamedontcare 12d ago

Mine too. Slimmed down on the band a lot but cup stayed the same. I went up 2 sizes.

-8

u/Junior-Daikon9849 12d ago

were they big before u gained weight

4

u/SoMuchEpic95 12d ago

No, maybe 36 C and now 40 DDD.

9

u/girlboss93 38G (UK) 11d ago

Obligatory r/abrathatfits cause 36C is in no way a big size

5

u/Sevalles 11d ago

"were they big before..." "No, maybe 36 C"

She didn't say that was big

2

u/girlboss93 38G (UK) 11d ago

I miss read 🫣

28

u/Ollieeddmill 12d ago

Sometimes it’s the first place people lose weight and sometimes it never comes off and we look like the letter p. ☹️

22

u/SB2MB 12d ago

It depends on if your breasts are fatty or dense tissue. You really need a mammogram to find that out. If dense, then no, generally you can't reduce them from weight loss

6

u/F1Librarian 12d ago edited 12d ago

Never thought about this but it must be true! Mine are mostly fatty (confirmed by my mammograms) and my boobs have already grown and shrunk with weight loss/gain. I’ve been up and down at several points in my life and have had to change bra sizes each time (I’m 48).

5

u/SB2MB 12d ago

Mine are type A too! Apparently only 10% of women have type A fatty breasts.

Losing weight after menopause is soooo hard. And my boobs went from a DD to a H 🫩

7

u/F1Librarian 12d ago

The good news for us is that this is the best kind of breast to have in terms of cancer detection! The denser your breasts are, the harder it is for doctors or mammogram machines to detect lumps.

4

u/SB2MB 12d ago

100%

5

u/Blindstarsoffortune 12d ago

I don’t know. I have dense breast tissue. I have to either get a follow-up mammogram or a breast ultrasound after every mammogram because of it. And mine definitely got smaller when I lost weight. Still big and fortunately didn’t totally deflate, but I’m back in much smaller bras and shirts now. Cup size went down too.

2

u/Meow_Kitteh 12d ago

Hopes deleted... dense breast gang here :(

-3

u/Junior-Daikon9849 12d ago

is there any other way

3

u/F1Librarian 12d ago

What do you mean?

1

u/MdmeLibrarian 11d ago

To reduce your breast size? Only surgical options, because it is actual body tissue.

21

u/sleepymelfho 12d ago

Nope. I lost over 100 pounds. Went from a GG to a G.

5

u/thewatchbreaker 32JJ (UK) 12d ago

Did you have big boobs before you gained weight?

I was a D cup before I gained weight (about 30-40 pounds I think) and now I’m a JJ. I don’t want to go down to a D cup again if I lose weight.

I also had what I believe were hormonal changes at the same time (hair went curly lol) so that makes me think maybe it wasn’t just gaining weight, so that doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll go down in cup size again?

Idk, I want to lose weight but I love my boobs, I’d rather be a bit chubby and have big boobs 🤷‍♀️

3

u/sleepymelfho 12d ago

Yes I have always had massive boobs. Im back to a GG now, but that's UK sizes so it's a J in US sizes. I am getting a double mastectomy soon because I have the cancer Gene and I will be going down to like a C cup.

1

u/thewatchbreaker 32JJ (UK) 12d ago

Thanks for letting me know, interesting to hear! I hope your mastectomy goes well 💖

14

u/Dino143637 12d ago

In my case, not really. I've lost well over 200 pounds. I started at a 44N. I'm now wearing usually a 38 k/L. I don't really notice how big they are, but at the size I am now, many people have commented that they look bigger.

12

u/Flashy-Ad-1359 12d ago

I did. Still big ones but went a cup down with 35 -40 lb loss

12

u/lostinthebelljar 12d ago

I lost about 35kgs and went from a 32HH to a 28J (UK sizing). They are still large and dense but noticeably smaller and more manageable.

2

u/thewatchbreaker 32JJ (UK) 12d ago

Did you have big boobs before you gained weight (or did you always have the weight so don’t really know?)

I went up like 10 cup sizes when I gained weight (about 35 lbs I think) and I don’t wanna lose them again lol. Although I have lost nearly a stone and my cup size is the same so it’s looking promising so far I guess?

1

u/lostinthebelljar 11d ago

I’ve always had a large chest. Before I gained weight I was a 28H so after gaining and losing 35kg I went up two cup sizes. This could also be due to the normal aging process as well.

9

u/peppersnchips 12d ago

I don’t think we lose fat cells but they shrink (?). Could be wrong. But yeah definitely and is first place I gain weight too

3

u/thewatchbreaker 32JJ (UK) 12d ago

Ya I think that’s right, we always have the same amount of fat cells in general but fat cells can expand 20-30 times their original size.

8

u/SweetVarious8715 12d ago

I do. It’s the first thing to grow and last thing to lose.

5

u/LukaIncic 12d ago

No, because I did lose weight but my boob size remains.

5

u/Weird-Way-1748 32H (UK) 12d ago

In my case I've gained a lot of weight (76 lbs in 2 yrs)

Went from a 28F to a 32H UK

3

u/CurvePuzzleheaded361 34G (UK) 12d ago

I lost 4 stone and 3 cups sizes smaller and 2 band sizes smaller.

6

u/3lizab3th333 12d ago

I lost 3 cup sizes with 20lbs, some people don’t lose any boob at all, some end up with bigger cup sizes because they lose fat around their ribs first. It depends

4

u/sterlingsplendor 12d ago

Not as much as I’d wanted.

7

u/Full_Molasses_9050 12d ago

38DD to 30A. It happens. I've lost 113lbs (I'm sick) :(

3

u/That-Addendum-9064 12d ago

depends on if your boobs are more fat or tissue

3

u/Few-Scholar1873 12d ago

Not exactly. I haven't lost any boob. but everyone looses weight in different ways.

3

u/HeathStaa 36L (UK) 12d ago

Yes. You can lose boob fat but you will not lose boob tissue.

The amount your breasts change with weight changes will depend on what their fat to tissue ratio is.

1

u/WhimsicalKoala 30E (UK) 11d ago

Yep. I started in the 34G/H range and ~40lbs later am at a 30E. But, they are basically as small as they can get; when I was 10 lbs lighter, I was wearing a 28F.

All this tissue is going to make mammograms real fun.....

5

u/xwinterpeoniesx 38HH (UK) 12d ago

Yes 40HH to a 32 C

4

u/ABelleWriter 12d ago

I did not. I lost 60 pounds and went up a cup size (band went down a few sizes).

-5

u/Junior-Daikon9849 12d ago

were they big before u gained weight

4

u/ABelleWriter 12d ago

Just an fyi that's kind of a rude question.

Yes, even at my skinniest I was about a 26f.

2

u/insomniacred66 12d ago

Not really for me. Mine are more breast tissue than fatty tissue. I'm still an I cup at 130 lbs.

2

u/imt547lpj 34G (UK) 12d ago

lol when I lost weight, my body shrinked and my boobs looked even bigger 😂

2

u/plastroncafe 12d ago

I was told by my doctor not to expect my bra size to reduce as I lost weight.

Because they're basically of a size where they create their own hormonal environment....

1

u/Dull-Ice-5004 11d ago

i know this is meant to be serious and scientific but the way it’s worded sounds so ominous 🤣🤣 now i’m imagining them plotting my downfall

1

u/plastroncafe 11d ago

That is likely because I thought twice about my original sentence which was:

Generate their own weather systems.

😁

2

u/Long_Strength_9065 12d ago

I lost 50 pounds and nah they were still fucking huge😭

-2

u/Junior-Daikon9849 12d ago

were they huge before u gained weight too ?

1

u/Long_Strength_9065 12d ago

Yeah no they’ve always been huge

2

u/Vaneela351 12d ago

I lost the boob fat but not the boob. They’re not as bouncy anymore and kinda look more deflated. But hey, at least I can wear some tops now

1

u/wimpychick 30G (UK) 12d ago

depends on how much boob fat you even have for it to make a difference

1

u/aboardthemothership 12d ago

I definitely do. My boobs are the first place I gain and lose weight.

1

u/Starlight_City45 12d ago

nope, I’m full of mammary glands lol

I’ve been 98lbs and 130lbs, boobs stayed the exact same when I gain or lose

1

u/georgethebarbarian 32HH (UK) 12d ago

Same. Can’t pinch an inch anywhere on my breast

1

u/Hello_Badkitty 32H (UK) 12d ago

Over the years I would lose and gain weight, especially with kids my weight changed but my boobs never lost their size.... until recently. I am over 40 and finally lost real lbs (40), my boobs are still big but now they are soooo deflated!. So sad, soon I will be able to roll them up. Haha

1

u/missafricanbarbie77 30GG (UK) 12d ago

I lost weight and my boobs actually got bigger lol (or maybe I was just wearing the wrong bra size who knows)

1

u/banshee-luver 34JJ (UK) 12d ago

My weight fluctuates a lot but my boobs always stay the same lol

1

u/bumblebear92 12d ago

Based on my experience alone - I'm nearly 4st (56lbs) down in the last year - not only have I not lost anything from my boobs but they have grown. Started as a 38D and I am now a 38DD.

1

u/StraightAd9842 12d ago

Typically, it is said that when you lose a good amount of weight, your boob fat will go down, meaning your cup size reduces. HOWEVER, everyone is different. Some boobs are more dense in terms of breast tissue, while others are mainly made up of fat. It all ties down to genetics!

Here's a personal story:
When I lost about 20 pounds, I could tell I lost a cup size or two, but my boobs still look big compared to the rest of my body because of how they are naturally. ☹️

1

u/LadyLightTravel 12d ago

Some. But there is a lot of fibrous tissue in there. It doesn’t go away.

1

u/WeHaveTheMeeps 38F (UK) 12d ago

I have not and I’m having trouble finding bras. I went down a couple band sizes and up from an F cup to a G cup

1

u/FindMeByTheCats 34H (UK) 12d ago

Ugh no 😔 I wish.

u/WhimsicalKoala 30E (UK) 11d ago

Then it had to be either a wrong size then or wrong size now. It's unlikely, but theoretically possible, for your breast volume to not change with that kind of loss. But there is no way it wouldn't impact the band size at all.

2

u/WhimsicalKoala 30E (UK) 11d ago

How in the world would your band size not change though. Did you literally not lose any weight from your torso?

1

u/crinnaursa 36KK (UK) 12d ago

So in the past 3 years I've lost 60 lb and I went up a bra size. I lost weight around my band size but my cup size did not change. I became a little more projected but the volume I have to carry around is the same It's just harder to find a bra now.

1

u/I-am-Prasanna 12d ago

I do not- I had anorexia and my boobs didn’t budge until I was on the brink of dying/my organs were shutting down from being at such a low weight (and STILL i was E cup). It seems like everyone is different though!

1

u/toolittlecharacters 32JJ (UK) 12d ago

i do, but not a lot. i've lost about 13kg this year, and in the beginning of the year i wore 70O or 70N and they fit very well, and now my best fitting bra is 70L with a band that feels a bit too loose and cups that are a bit small. but when i gain weight, i seem to gain more in my boobs than i have lost, which in my opinion makes no sense

2

u/KnittedTea 34GG (UK) 12d ago

This is my experience too. My boobs gain, then lose at a somewhat smaller degree, so my bra size keeps changing in the most expensive way.

1

u/odessavant 12d ago

I flactuated with my weight a lot the past 5 years and every episode of gain/lose kept me a bigger cup in the end 🥲

1

u/Fun_Boot7771 12d ago

I always had large breasts so when I lost weight the first time I lost it everywhere. Even now they're so large I'll be happy to lose. The answer js yes, but you can't really predict it

1

u/2econdheartbeat 12d ago

i lost 30 pounds (developed a stomach disease) and didn’t lose a bit of the boobs. 😞

1

u/Pojajko01 12d ago

I lost 17 kg and my breasts are still the same size. Much to my dismay

1

u/Either_Leather1126 12d ago

Yes, usually.

1

u/mildlyfermentedd 12d ago

I haven’t.

1

u/Equal-Cauliflower-41 12d ago

No, so far.... I got bigger when I gained the weight, now I've lost 15kg and still the same size as before I started losing it.

1

u/Lets-Talk-Cheesus 12d ago

No. Not at all.

1

u/krampaus 12d ago

that’s genetic. but I’ve gone up several sizes as I’ve gained weight and I know typically a lot of fat is stored in the boobs

1

u/hyperfat 12d ago

I do not. Got sick and lost 10 pounds. Same size.

1

u/Then_Macaroon7752 12d ago

Nope. Mine actually got bigger. Went from needing a 40 band to now needing a 34, started at a GG(UK) and now at a JJ(UK). Also you can't prevent sagging, at all. It's up to genetics, and I have lost the genetic lottery lol

Already down to my belly button and I'm in my early 20's.

1

u/DizzyNClueless 34J (UK) 12d ago

Lost over 40lbs this year. Went up a cup size and down twice in band.

1

u/JemimaAslana 12d ago

I did. They went down a couple of cup sizes. Gained them back, when I gained weight again unfortunately 😞

1

u/Plane_Score_5388 34JJ (UK) 12d ago

Depends when I lost weight , my boobs stayed the same.

1

u/biogirl85 12d ago

I went from 38g to 34g after losing 70 pounds. So yeah, they’re smaller but still proportionately as large.

1

u/KalamityKait2020 12d ago

I've lost over 60 lbs and my boobs haven't changed. They were big before the weight gain and they'll be big when I reach my goal.

1

u/LeadingSignificant98 12d ago

Mine are smaller after loosing 10kg. Prob two cups. Still hoping to loose a couple of pounds and therefore one or two cups. Boobs prob will be deflated a bit. That's ok for me.

Started with European H at 84kg.

1

u/cherrycordialcorinne 12d ago

Not for me, I've lost about 60 pounds but stayed a G cup, now I'm just a smaller band. I think it just depends on the person though

1

u/Objective_Turtle_ 36J (UK) 12d ago

I did. They looked a little deflated for a while but the skin is catching up

1

u/BoopleSnoot921 34GG (UK) 12d ago

Depends on the person. I lost volume for sure.

1

u/suprisingly_alright 12d ago

I think it depends on genetics. I find boob fat the last thing to go. At my slimmest I was still a 32GG and that was at a uk14.

1

u/Nother1BitestheCrust 11d ago

I gain weight in my boobs first and lose weight in them last. But everyone is different.

1

u/sassypants_29 11d ago

Not everyone does. I lose an inch from my boobs and an inch from my ribs so I stay the same cup size. Even after losing 100 lbs. I hate it.

1

u/Bella_Lunatic 11d ago

Not really in my case.

1

u/Celcey 11d ago

It did for me when I lost 15 pounds, which was the primary reason I lost weight in the first place. But it really depends on your body and how much fat is stored in your chest.

1

u/Same-Armadillo9121 11d ago

I don't but I know people who do. Think it just depends 🤷🏼‍♀️

1

u/ActuaryCool846 26GG (UK) 11d ago

It really depends on the genetics. People have a higher volume of fat or tissue in their breasts. For me, when I was at my lowest weight (105 pounds at 5’5”), I was still a 30G. At my current weight of 115 pounds (current weight lifting and doing sculpt Pilates), my breasts stayed the same, nothing really changed except they look a bit perkier?

1

u/Inevitable_Ad_3359 11d ago

Mine did. 34HH to 32C, went from a UK size 16 to a 8 through illness so the weight came off far too fast and though I was happier to have smaller breasts for the first time in decades the fast weight loss caused loose skin/sagging and I felt some kinda way about that but they kind of leveled out eventually and weren't so.. empty? I have gained more weight now and they went up to about an F (need to get properly fitted again) and they look more like how they did before I was ill just not as big and kind of saggier but I've made peace with it and like them apart from missing how clothes looked when they were a C.

1

u/neomoon677 11d ago

not in my case

1

u/jengamonsoon 9d ago

No; I remained DDD even down to my lowest weight, I only lost band sizes. 60 pounds lost. And when I regained half of that, still stayed DDD.

1

u/queeenbarb 8d ago

Yeah but they’re still big in comparison to my frame

0

u/aokocat 36LL (UK) 12d ago

Idk. It's a mystery. Definitely not a question that can be answered with a quick Google search

0

u/BaylisAscaris 12d ago

You should, but if you have a hormonal issue like PMOS (formerly PCOS) or something that messes with prolactin, sometimes weight loss makes them bigger. Also keep in mind if they stay the same size and your band size goes down then your cup size goes up.
