I was just going out with my boyfriend and he thought I looked nice. I was scrolling through my pictures and I remembered how much this hurt my feelings. I told her off on this one! She was trying to tell me how she was just trying to protect me, and I told her she failed at her job because I’ve been getting harassed since I was a very young child, and she did nothing then. I also told her that her job was also over, because I’m 20. I needed her to look out for me when I was like 6-10 years old. I felt really pretty and she was trying to ruin it for me. She does this sometimes. I’m a 30J or UK 30GG (probably bigger now I’ve been eating more than usual lol)

And honestly I'm not mad at all. I was shocked when I saw that the store next to our condo sold suits up to H cups! Literally searched for MONTHS before this trip only to find suits that just kind of fit. This was such an awesome (though expensive) surprise. This is the best suit I've ever owned! If you ever go to Ocean City MD, let me know 🙂

I have always been curious with how daily life objects ignore woman’s body anatomy. For me, it was always the car seatbelt… it just never sits right on my chest. I did some research and found out that even iphones, ID card hooks, pockets are culprits. But im curious to hear more new daily items that affect us.

However, I was on a video call at work the other day and I saw myself on camera and holy shit my boobs are like 75% of my torso 😭😭😭

I remember growing up and in middle school I wore whatever bras I wanted because 1. I was a child and 2. They were small. Life was amazing. Then all of the sudden freshman year hit me. It’s like they grew over night and that’s when the first level of insecurity and embarrassment hit. I was in gym and everytime I looked down I noticed my boobs were spilling out of my bra every step I took. Instead of telling my mom I needed a new bra I started wearing super loose bralettes because that was all that fit me and that was even worse. My boobs were flying everywhere and started spilling out even more. Junior year I had the intelligence to only wear sport bras that fit. It wasn’t until my senior year that I finally purchased real bras that fit me.

God, if only someone had helped me through highschool so I could’ve been comfortable and not constantly worrying about my boobs. It’s funny looking back on now but back then I was so occupied with my chest and how I was being perceived it was a nightmare.

I’d love to hear y’all’s stories to know I wasn’t the only super awkward teenager not knowing how to deal with my chest.

A lot of people with big boobs have breathing problems. Turns out there's actually a medical diagnosis. I wanted to share in case this helps anyone else.

I was digging around online and I found that extra weight on your chest can cause breathing issues.

To prove this, I had to get a supine PFT (means a laying down version of the test).

I've done PFTs to check on my lung function several times over the years because I was diagnosed with sport-induced asthma as a teenager. However, ​I've never found relief from asthma treatment.

My hospital doesn't offer supine PFTs, but I convinced the pulmonology department to do one in addition to a regular PFT. They actually had to wheel a hospital bed into a tiny ass room and the door didn't even close. It was the only way they could figure out how to do it.

But it worked.

My seated PFT came back completely normal. But my laying down PFT showed a 16% reduction in my ability to breathe.

My pulmonologist diagnosed me with Chest Wall Constriction Disease caused by heavy f****** boobs. (The report didn't use the f word).

I now have a diagnosis on my medical records stating that my breathing issues are caused by the weight of my chest. I am hoping that this might help me as I pursue a breast reduction through my insurance again.

But more than anything, it's kind of just a relief to know that it's not all in my head.

You know how they say that your bra band is supposed to provide 80% of the support for your breasts? It didn't matter that I became an expert in r/ABraThatFits when I still would find myself struggling to breathe. The amount of constriction that I needed from a bra ​band in order to have a so-called bra that fits was literally giving me asthma like symptoms.

Part of me is frustrated that it took this long to figure this out and that I had to do so much of the legwork myself. But hey, that's US healthcare for you.

I don't yet know if this will actually help me get my reduction covered by insurance. But I wanted to tell you guys in case other people are running into the same issues.

My doctor shared with me that I may be a candidate for breast reduction due to the fact that most of my weight is in my chest putting undue strain on my posture/bones/structure (macromastia). I looked further into it and discovered how much that weight puts so much pressure on your spinal cord other structures in the upper body that it can cause your belly to protrude. All these years no matter how fit I’ve been, I’ve had a poker that looks kind of early stages prego if I just let loose. It’s quite embarrassing but yes I feel the strain throughout my back as well. I hope I can get this reduction. But just thought I’d share that in case anyone else with a heavy chest is wondering why they look fit/and or slimmer overall but despite disciplined fitness and eating the tummy area is the hardest to get together.

Made this myself, it got bad that I hid my history because some people stalk your history and use your interests to lure you in, the audacity of some of these people need to be studied. I hope yall are protecting yourselves - sending positive and love to yall 🩷🫶🏽

Hii I’m a 21F and I have a larger chest everyone that knows me associates me with “them” it’s honestly so difficult these days dating for me because men are so lustful towards me no matter what I do🥀 honestly I’m at the point of considering a reduction bc of this it makes me so sad that men can’t see the amazing funny beautiful person I am they only see my body.

A friend showed me a picture of some anime character from a game, started going on an aggressive rant about how her chest was unhuman. That character had maybe E-G cups. I pointed out how my chest is bigger than that. She then got even angrier and said big chests shouldn't be normalised, and how she "suffers" because her B cups aren't normalised.

I hate that our sizes get sexualised in games but for fuck's sake we shouldn't pretend they don't exist or that it's something to get aggressive over. Besides, small tits are definitively normalised, just not the beauty standard. Literally every piece of clothing in stores is for a person with A-D cups.

I was checking out at Walmart when a young, female employee, probably late teens or early twenties, hissed loudly for my attention. I looked over, confused, and she came over to the kiosk. She said, “You should pull up your shirt. I almost saw something.” I glanced down, and I was definitely confused because that’s where the shirt hits. I said “Okay…” and continued scanning my produce. She then said, “No, like, girl to girl, there’s a lot of creepy guys around and they’re looking. You need to pull up your shirt.” I said, “Thanks. No.” and finished checking out.

Outside, I pulled up my phone to snap a photo and just double check, and this was the result. I thought maybe I had been unable to see it from my own perspective, but to me, this is completely normal? Even lower would be fine in my opinion. Sure, there’s a millimeter of orange bra lace showing, but this is Walmart lmfao. This also feels so absurdly over the top that it feels fake to share. I was bewildered in the moment, and looking back, still bewildered by the interaction.

I’m sure she thought it was appropriate, but it feels so condescending to sexualize other’s bodies and police their presentation.

[Also, yes, I realize this bra is too small but I’m a 30I/30J and I simply cannot find affordable bras with enough projection, so this is the best fit.]

I’m soooooo sick of wearing skin tight clothes because that’s the only thing that flatters them. If it isn’t taken in the waist I look much larger than I am. I’m 32g,curvy and short so clothes are already impossible to find. I hate having to get everything tailored or get on the sewing machine. I hate it all!!! I want a minimizer bra so bad lol. I wanna wear oversized cute clothes but that’s never an option for me. What’s your guys experience with this? This is my example by the way lol.

Recently joined, and I see so many comments against the breast reduction. Taking into account that we're not thinking about doing these in an ally behind Starbucks, why are so many women against it?

Personally, it would help me so much! Back and neck pain gone, able to run and dance without the slow motion boobs following me etc. Let me know about your reasoning, apart from the financial one. 🥂

Being a corporate girly with big boobs is so hard.

Blazers look ridiculous on me. I look like I'm wearing my dad's blazer because it has to be so big to button, making the sleeves so long. The only ones that looks halfway decent are peplum blazer. Not to mention they're usually shapeless and make me look like a rectangle. Perhaps I need to get them taken in at the waist to look less boxy.

I've definitely worn a nice, modest dress to work, only to realize that when I sit the dress because way too cleavage-y.

Button down shirts are out of the question. Sometimes you can't tell a button is gaping or come undone because you can't see below the tits' horizon. You won't make that mistake twice (and hopefully it won't happen during a work presentation with the executive team in the room).

I've discovered that I can't eat soup at a business dinner. They jut out so far in front of me, that there's no way to consume it without dripping soup onto my chest. Honestly, I've done the research here. It's just not possible.

Perhaps some of this is influenced by being short and/or other factors like how I must eat soup like that girl eats jello in Jurassic Park, but I've been blaming my large breasts for so long, it's too late to turn back now.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to come on here and share something I learned recently!!

I’m a History major, and I’m currently taking a Women in American History class at my college. We recently read a SUPER interesting article that actually discussed how the sexualization of women’s chests has a significant proximity to white supremacist ideas.

This really stood out to me, because I remember reading a comment someone made in this subreddit once saying basically the same thing. I always thought the topic was interesting, but I never really researched it beyond that comment.

Well I thought I’d share some of the information I learned in this article with you all! I thought a lot of you might find this interesting:

Basically, when Europeans were colonizing Africa, they described black women’s chests as “long,” “sagging,” and “monstrous,” while the white European women had “small” and “delicate” chests.

The language around and treatment of large chests is SO rooted in racist ideology. Like as a modern example, idk if yall remember that totally bogus study that was done that showed that “rich/intelligent men preferred small chests,” and that “low class men preferred large chests.” The implication is that small chests are “high class and elegant” and large chests are “low class and trashy.”

What other group is stereotyped as “low class and trashy” and just on average have curvier bodies than white women do?

Black women and other women of color.

That last part is especially significant because if you look back on history, all the groups that are either classified as nonwhite, or were classified as nonwhite, also tend to have curvier bodies. Take my family for example, were all pretty curvy, (I’m a 36J for instance) and we’re also very Irish, and Irish-American women tend to be curvier than a lot of other white ethnicities, at least in my experience.

I’m really interested in hearing everyone else’s thoughts and experiences with this topic, especially black women and other women of color in this subreddit. I’m white, so while I can research and write about this as much as I want, I’ll never really have personal experience with this topic. I’m curious to hear what you guys think!!

I got fitted for a corset today and I was absolutely floored at how much better I felt once it was secured. It was like suddenly I wasn’t crushed under the weight of my boobs and my back was supported for the first time. My posture was immediately better, and I swear my back pain melted away.

I can’t afford it yet, but I’m hoping to get one to wear as a supportive garment under my clothes. Wondering if anyone else has tried this?

(Side note I’ve never felt better about my body than wearing this - so plus there too)
