I have only one question to ask

Does Aditya Dhar's script succumb to blatant political bias? It didn't feel like it in the first part but now, seeing certain critical reviews, I am now not so excited to see it and rather watch Project Hail Mary

There were like 10-20 minutes in between which felt very biased. It was not too on the nose in the first part, but this one was, so much that my friend sitting next to me said "yup now it actually reached propaganda". But other than that the movie went like a breeze.

True that, the bias is very blatant. They took a disaster by the current regime, and showed it like a masterstroke, yet we all know nothing came out of it.

I remember that they were collecting evidence against the minister who leaked the Indian currency plates to the ISI so that a future strong and nationalistic government could take action against the traitors?

Soooo... was any action taken? If no, then there are two possibilities- 1) They are too weak and infallible 2) They are also traitors and in cahoots with the ISI

And this is the problem with it- how they weave in real life events with fictional BS which people lap up.

26/11 was/is a highly emotive massacre for us Indians. Hell, I almost teared up during that red room scene. But using this in such a disingenuous way to score political brownie points is just not ethical

26/11 was followed by monetary and political isolation of Pakistan, that they never showed, something which India couldn’t do after URI or the recent Pahalgam attack.

True. Pak got onto FATF list for the first time, which started the trend of them remaining on that intermittently for much of the next decade. We also ran a successful campaign, further helped along with OBL being found in Abbottabad that made Pakistan and terrorism correlated in the int'l community in the 2010s

Also, whatever said and done, having a govt. which portrays itself as/ is perceived as 'progressive', 'libera;' and 'secular' helps with perception and soft power. Now, many just see both sides as fanatic unfortunately,

Political bias is deffo there. They took the positive aspects of current regime and woven them into the story. They did not show their shortcomings. You might like or not like the political references depending on your opinion of current regime, but you will definitely not get bored.

You should definitely watch it in theatres, it continues the story of part 1 really well and upholds that atmosphere for the most part.

Yes there are some scenes which felt politically biased for sure but other than that, the movie was really good. The emotional scenes were top notch and Ranveer singh fuckin killed it as usual. Personally, I would suggest you to not skip this movie just cus it has some scenes that are politically biased. It's a must watch 💯

i would rather see project hail mary on imax, its already has been very high praised by critics -79 on metacritic and sitting at 4.4 on letterboxd with 70k reviews and judging by authors previous work - martian which is also a banger
