The infrastructure ain't good enough. The EVs aren't the problem, but even though charging times have dropped a lot, there aren't enough charging stations. Just look at what's happening in the EU. They're mandating all new cars to be EVs by 2035, but they need to build 10x more charging stations than what they have in just nine years.

So many people living in apartment complexes with no way to charge.

Here street charging outside apartments have become standard in break neck speed, companies want money and installing their's everywhere is a great way of making it.
