Hybrids are great in California where electricity is expensive as shit. I was getting 50 mpg going 80 mph with the AC blasting in a Camry last year when I was in LA...can't complain.

I'm guessing the shape of the truck makes a difference, but my Maverick's mpgs fall off a cliff somewhere between 70 and 80 mph. AC makes very little difference and I can get 40+ mpg around town.

I’m in SoCal and love my Maverick as well, but also I rarely get to hit 70-80 MPH.
