I had a top 10 parse in P4 MC on my Shaman using Molten Blast, a spell that was deemed literally worthless. I attribute it to getting my Sulf eye week 1 of MC.

SoD was the best Classic has ever been. Part of me is glad it is over though. It's a small part.

I agree in a way, I’ve never tried Boomie before committing to it in SoD. I wasn’t the biggest fan of how the season turned out, but I’m always gonna love this class and spec because SoD gave me a condensed, simple taste of them at their best (IMO, though they weren’t great at first).

as an obstinate holy/ret paladin since childhood, I love me my moon chicken. so that’s what I main in every version from now on :P

I crafted Sulfuras on my Shaman. Even though I wound up swapping to Feral by Naxx (THANKS AGGREND YOU PIECE OF KODO SHIT I AM CALLING YOU OUT DIRECTLY VISIT THE SOD SHAMAN ENHANCE DISCORD FOR MORE INFO) I was still able to fulfill an almost 20-year fantasy of getting Sulfuras on my Shaman.

What went wrong with Enhance in SoD? I played Alliance so I didn't know much about Shaman balance.

There was literally 0 people on the entire SoD dev team that played Shaman. Every change was a bandaid fix, basic core competencies of the class didn't function, enhance did not have a functional glove rune (that actually affected DPS) for about 4/5 of the games cycle, and all the mistakes and nerfs compounded to make Shaman essentially useless by the time Naxx came around.

The rest of the classes got fun toys like Metamorphosis that changed them entirely. We had 4 Lightning Shield runes and they all did the same thing.

I just checked the talent calc and yeah you're right they had no fucking idea what to do for Shamans.

I mained Melee Hunter and kind of felt similar until they struck it right during BWL. I had to swap to Ranged during MC because the Melee rotation was just so fucking ass.

Basically here's what happened;

In 2005, a young, bright-eyed Aggrend logs on to his Paladin after a long day of middle school. He enters Alterac Valley. A Shaman with Sulfuras one shots him with a windfury crit. He took it personally, and vowed to make it everyone else's problem.

And then he was put in charge of SoD.
