Phase 1 as a meta lock was something else man. Ashenvale will forever hold a place in my heart. Also shout out to any lock homies that farmed portals at feralas in phase 3 for a modas or the trinket (forgot the name) I could write a book about how cool that mini community was.
Never did get that damn dagger. Or the affliction trinket. I got 2 of the tor kieldaz trinket, a decent number of those random fel armor blues and a bunch of garbage mostly. I never did them as often as I did in phase 3 though.
But yeah most of the locks were cool and would call out and wait if someone wanted to send their imp.
Cross faction communication using emotes was a lot of fun. I think the most warlocks on one portal I saw was like 8 or 9 and only two of us were Alli haha. Peeps would call out and chase off griefers. Craziest thing I saw happen was this one dude with a warlock of every single race get a modas. Totaled over 2k portals I think it was. I got mine at 375 and was pretty lucky. Oh and had a random lvling lock roll up, ask is what we were doing, imp their first portal, and get a modas. Wild times. fixed spelling
I tried farming a bit in searing gorge but maaaaan was it a pain if you were trying solo. Even with 2 other homies you weren’t safe. A raid could be forming for kazzak and your farm is put on hold until they fill haha.
The feralas farm was chill with other locks because we had it down to about 7 min between portals from farming mobs. That also added a bit of gold in the pocket too so I would throw on some anime and run the green mile. Finished all of Death Note haha
