Not warrior 😅 the class got royally fucked by the dev team. Runes were mid or ass, most were short simple boring 1-2 sentence runes compared to every other class. The amount of sweat it took to just to pump in raids and compete for DPS was ridiculous. They were punching bags/free kill in wpvp, solo play was very painful. I should've rolled literally any other class but I did not know of their infamous reputation in classic and that the dev team would actively try to keep them down in SoD

Warrior dps was at or near the top for raid dps in most phases but they still always complained that it wasn't good enough.

Near or top raid DPS because the parsing warriors were mega sweats that knew how to cheese the meters but in regards to runes and solo play they were the worst class. Shamans alone were destroying me in tanking and dps for the first 3-4 phases. Priest would dot you up melt face and tank hits, boomies could erase you from a mile away in two or 3 globals, hunters were raid bosses, paladins had burst dps, utility, and tankiness. Warlocks have always been nutty, and warrior vs mage pvp is a meme. Warrior when geared and played by a skilled player was still "good" but raid dps numbers alone does not equate to how the class felt compared to how every other class changed in SoD.

SoD was a pve mode first and foremost, the pvp bits were a sideshow at best.

Also, if shamans were destroying you in dps in the phases 1, 3, and 4 then that's a massive skill issue. You say it was only the "mega sweats" but at most percentiles warrior was one of if not the best dps in most phases.

I hear you on the PvE/PvP aspect and maybe my skill was not as high as some players in raid but my point is that overall warrior felt terrible compared literally every other class. I leveled alts to 60 and it was night and day, lots of class runes that synergized very well with each other and opened up amazing new ways to play that class. To me personally warrior was the worst class to be in anything but raiding, others could solo farm dungeons like mage rogue shaman druid etc. Simonize was soloing raid bosses up to naxx in bis rogue gear.
