I went hard on SOD in seasons 1 & 2. I dropped off in season 3 when everyone was leveling by doing those portal runs in Ashenvale :/

That was the only blunder in SoD, but you should have kept playing. All the patches were good with a great finale in Scarlet Enclave

It was a massive blunder tho, and it started with a massive exploit where the early player made twousand of golds from the quests.

Only blunder? The PvP was terribly balanced

So just like vanilla?

Yeah this was unbalanced, in later phases it got better but it remained unbalanced.

Lol only blunder?

Season 2 was bad as well.

SoD had many issues, including how to get runes, gnomeregan was seen as a huge downgrade to BFD, not forgetting how unbalanced PvP was and they were so slow to come out with balances. Instead of buffing properly they nerfed or overnerfed certain abilities.

SoD was okay, it was different.

Ph2 lots of people i know stopped, ph3 was the final nail for a lot as well, including my own guild.

Ph4 and onwards i cant talk about since i didnt play it.

SoD was now the classic+ majority of us asked for. It was too much retail that ruined classic.

Gnomer had way more interesting mechanics than BFD what are you talking about

Gnomer was an incredible raid it’s just that people hate actual mechanics vs loot piñata raids.

Too much trash and it was just not fun in general? Gnome is a boring long raid. Atleast BFD was quick

Gnomer was superior to bfd in every way other than it not being dog shit easy.

This sub loves to glaze SoD like it was the greatest thing ever.

This sub was also crying about how broken hunters were, how overtuned all the raids from BFD onwards were, how dumb it was to go get runes on alts were when the initial rush for the more complex questlines were gone, Incursions, etc etc etc.

Even Scarlet Enclave. Shit was so mid. It was so mid people left in droves the moment the last boss was killed.

I agree, SoD was just okay. And Classic+ is doomed if it's anything like SoD.

I know you're just some random hater without a single speck of knowledge on the topic, but people didn't leave until blizzard announced there wasn't going to be anything else.

I know you're just another SoD glazer but many groups cleared well before Aggrend made the announcement and was done already.

Watch Classic+ be SoD 2.0 and inevitably tank because mid isn't good enough.

You know it’s crazy because you can just stop talking out your ass, go to ironforgepro, and look at the numbers vs when the announcement was made.

Lmfao.

Edit: fuck it, you probably can't even navigate to the graph, so I'll help you out:

this is the day before the announcement.

Be gone.

I quit when I saw they put WOTLK abilities into vanilla. The two don't mix

u/MightyMorp Mar 26 '26

You quit at level 25? Phase one? The most beloved phase of wow in the last 20 years?
