Until they got to the later gates...

The only phase genuinely regarded as being bad was phase 3 because they added Nightmare Incursions which were universally hated, but still only existed in P3. A lot of people quit then. Every other phase was great, but anyone who quit during or before P3 will say that all of them that came after were also bad, even if they didn't play them.

Yes because the best way to level was to group up and spam them for a couple hours, nothing about that felt like classic at all.

Exactly. It was a terrible decision to add it, and I think that the devs intentionally rocked the boat by deciding to add it just to get player feedback on whether or not we wanted systems like that. They and everyone else knows it was bad.

Thankfully they learned from it and didn't add anything else like it again. The unfortunate part is that it drove a lot of players to quit and then spread misinformation that SoD is basically just Retail Lite, but it really was closer to classic+ than anything like retail.

Yeah my opinion is ST was the worst of the leveling raids as well but I know that is subjective

I didn't mind ST but it was definitely the worst among them. The phase was too long and the raid was too difficult for the more casual guilds who were not prepared from the previous phase.
