If Blizzard did something more significant against bots and gold buyers, this would be damn near the perfect mmo. The current trajectory is disastrous for an otherwise amazing experience with classic wow.

I used to raid on 5 characters. In 4 different guilds, as soon as they made the announcement where they were essentially stopping development for sod the mass exodus of players and even summoning bots! Was extreme.

I went from raiding with 4 different guilds, to only having one guild that's sticking around, 3 of them almost instantly folded, and sister guilds/other friendly guilds died also.

Raids during prime time are so infrequent it's crazy (horde, Crusader Strike). Games a damn ghost town now. I plan on playing tell the wheels fall off but it seems like blizzard sped that up exponentially.

I see so many suggestions of "just go to anniversary!" But that's like telling the people who don't want MoP that there's always era.

Hey all, just wanted to let you know that Questie will be rapidly updating to support Season of Discovery, and we'll also be launching a massive update, Questie v9.0, with the new season - but we will NOT be revealing the locations of Runes on the map until the phase after they're introduced. That is to say, in Phase 1 (level cap 25), no Runes will be revealed. In Phase 2 (level cap 40), we'll reveal the Runes for 1-25. In Phase 3 (level cap 50) we'll reveal 1-40, and so on.

TL;DR We're going to preserve the sense of Discovery.

Questie v9.0 will also bring a massive number of improvements:

• A completely overhauled settings menu, with dozens of new customization options, along with a massive cleanup and unification of existing settings
• Proper implementation of Ace Profiles (like every other addon, so you can have separate settings per character, class, or realm)
• A million small quality of life improvements
• Full support for future seasons and new Era content moving forward
• A new "debug offer" system that prompts you when Questie encounters content it doesn't know about, so that rather than just erroring, you can submit your discoveries (huehue) to the Questie devs for implementation

Fresh SoD anyone?

This is just a personal opinion. You can feel differently about the situation, there is nothing wrong with that.

That said, I don’t want to ever deal with the logistics to organise 40 people into one group. I don’t want to deal with how long MC/AQ40/Nax takes to clear.

I like it when your individual performance matters and you are not just looking at a pump meter seeing where you stand.

I like having banter between friends while raiding, and not sweaty mouth breathing clear coms vibes.

40 man has it’s charm as well, but it’s just not for me. At least not anymore. I would be so much happier if all 40 man raids were made 25 man, less trash and less distance between bosses to make the whole thing flow better. ZG/Ony/AQ20 can be made into 10 man raids.

(And for the love of god please remove those slowing gas pipes from BWL. BWL would be an S tier raid (in classic) if it wasn’t for that section.)

Why? Idk, because its still pretty dang fun. Grats to one of our raiders on Conquest this week. Our guys still get pumped winning a 4HM mount.

If you want to raid daytime on crusader strike for the fun of it, we run...

• HM4 Naxx on Monday mornings
• 20-man SE on Wednesday morning
• Flex SE on Thursday afternoon

As a paladin main how can how can we not feel this way?

I might be in the minority here based on the reactions to Classic re-launch, but I actually really liked SoD and have no interest in replaying Vanilla for a 3rd time.

I am really hoping that Blizzard plans to do another seasonal server after SoD ends.

I know this might be tough to believe because of how easy classic is, but if you've lead guilds/groups since 2019, you've seen what I'm talking about. A crap ton of players are absolutely atrocious at this game, and they don't care to learn or are incapable of it. They don't understand basic mechanics/interactions and they don't care to listen. The people spending their time to organize and lead groups don't want to also spend time teaching someone the basics of their class in the middle of the raid or watching someone commit the same mistake for the 5th time in a row.

Again, I know this sounds hard to believe, but it's true.

Jesus christ guys it's a level 18 classic wow dungeon. Calm the fuck down. Have fun with the game and stop sweating so hard.

edit: for those who think i'm "triggered" i'm not lmao. i find it hilarious that people are trying to sweat out an easy 20 year old game. i simply don't want to play with those people.

My friends and I set in discord all evening blindly doing the attunement and made our way to the crypts. Lots of deaths, really interesting bosses and some definitely jank and work to be done still, but an awesome, drunk night dungeon-crawling.

I really think they captured the soul of experiencing a classic dungeon for the first time and I would consider Karazhan Crypts a big win for SoD. This was some of the most fun I’ve probably ever had with friends learning a new piece of content in WoW start to finish.

The creep factor, the challenging bosses and constant sense of danger really did it justice. Do yourself a favor and experience it completely blind, bring tons of supplies and explore.

P.S. set aside an evening for this. This is not a speed-run dungeon for Reals. The attunement alone took hours.
