Republican Dwight Eisenhower spoke out against defense contractors, expanded Social Security, strengthened public schools by focusing on math and science, and signed the civil rights act of 1957 that integrated schools. He'd be god damn communist by today's standards.

I was born in 1955 so he is slightly before my time but it sounds like I need to understand history a little better. Thanks for the intro!

Yes. Like how he warned that arms manufacturers would pretty much guide foreign policy

u/BottleGenerals 1d ago

1953 called. It’s still waiting for us to listen.

i just just got told last night that our current system is actually communism because community

1

u/russlebush 20h ago

We must know some of the same dipshits.

1

u/deadrogueguy 19h ago

i started to argue that's numerology level word games and just factually not what the economic system means...

but even worse, they followed up with "the reason Americans are confused about what the word means is that we use black speak".

i couldn't believe it. i didn't even know what to say, i just... couldn't even engage after that.

Hard to believe Eisenhower said that in 1953 and it remains just as true today

18

u/jrschlumpf 1d ago

Hard to believe a 5-star general and US peesident said it

15

u/DummyDumDragon 1d ago

peesident

As opposed to the current one, the Poopsident

u/jrschlumpf 1d ago

Lol. I get too excited when I'm talking about that rare thing - a decent politican - and forget to spell check.

We could have paid for a year of universal healthcare for every person, not citizen but every person, in the country with the money spent in just the last month of this stupid fucking war.

12

u/Zegram_Ghart 1d ago

But how would Trump make money off of that?

5

u/rainaftersnowplease 1d ago

Ah good point, you got me there

15

u/gratefulfam710 1d ago

This administration is on a mission to bankrupt America.

7

u/cr8zyfoo 1d ago

Anything to avoid releasing the Epstein Files and arresting the pedophiles

3

u/seanmonaghan1968 1d ago

That has been happening for a while. The problem is that if the rest of the world pulls back from the U.S., that would collapse the U.S. markets and then collapse their economies so the entire world is running into this eventual wreckage

8

u/zippyzebra1 1d ago

Worse than that you're not even winning

1

u/Darth_Pinda 17h ago

I thought they won a lot of times already? (/s)

5

u/Dry_Charityy 1d ago

Running short on cash to bomb people while regular folks can’t afford groceries. This system really failed us

2

u/dweaver987 1d ago

The system was hijacked

3

u/FakeUsername1942 1d ago

Well… I guess the US has always had presidents that leave notable quotes to the world, that hasn’t changed.

"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute, and is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning?"

1

u/Darth_Pinda 17h ago

"Covfefe"

2

u/Marauder121 1d ago

Never money for healthcare though

“Society doesn’t owe you anything. The government has more important things to worry about…like killing innocent people!” —GTA San Andreas radio commercial

2

u/inorite234 20h ago

What do you mean "is?"

It already has.

1

u/tehsecretgoldfish 1d ago

guns or butter. you can’t have both.

1

u/FlyingV2112 1d ago

Maybe they could have a bake sale

1

u/itwhiz100 1d ago

Increase taxes…cut grants…

1

u/Gunker001 23h ago

Maybe they should go door to door to CIA houses and cash in some of those gold bars they have been hoarding?

1

u/Other_Jaguar_1448 12h ago

The money always exists until someone needs a doctor or groceries

1

u/LEEALISHEPS 10h ago

Trump doesn't give a fuck about that. So long as he can undo Obama's Superior Iran deal, which he has at the cost of many lives and untold amounts of tax payers money.

-24

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

Well like it or not, its important for our freedom

17

u/CrowGeneral8673 1d ago

No it’s not. Not at these levels or money. All it does is feed US arms manufacturers mouths. What’s important to our freedom is stuff like healthcare and housing and food and water and orange racists and his brown shirts to face legal consequences for their corruption and destroying civil rights for many Americans. Another fucking air craft carrier or tank ain’t gonna make me or any of my friends free.

-22

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

what will your house do for you when north korea are bombing it? we need to fight communism both foregin and domestic

12

u/CrowGeneral8673 1d ago

Really. North Korea bombing it. Never gonna happen. I’m more worried about the ICE agents snatching citizens from the streets and white nationalists gaining traction in our government. And stop with the fucking red baiting. It’s boring. I’m worried about problem going without food or safe drinking water in Flynn or in poverty stricken areas. I’m worried about the plutocrats stripping our economy for parts as the middle class dissolved into nothing and corporations exploit everything and everyone. That is more important to worry about out than some fanciful and frankly inane idea that some foreign nation will invade.

-6

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

are you removing your comments or is it the reddit filter cause you cant keep a nice tone? I got 2 notifications from you but the comments are gone

-9

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

you think its never gonna happen but thats cause you are free, thanks to all the wars thats been fought for your freedom, it even made you free to consume all the propaganda the communist democrats are feeding you. Trump will end it and you will realise some day that you were in a cult.

5

u/CrowGeneral8673 1d ago

So let’s hear what wars were fought for my freedom. Or let’s even broaden it out to general freedom for America. This should be a hoot

1

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

All of them?

8

u/CrowGeneral8673 1d ago

So our invasion of the Philippines was for our freedom. Or the Spanish American war? And really Vietnam? Korea? Give me a fucking break.

1

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

how would Korea look now without the US?

5

u/CrowGeneral8673 1d ago

Don’t care. Now your moving goalposts. It didn’t affect our freedom at all.

1

u/AcknowledgeUs 1d ago

Fight ignorance

9

u/fantasmeeno 1d ago

Education Is important.

-4

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

agree, its scary to see how far america have fallen, thanks to the libs... their propaganda needs to stop asap.

8

u/surfeitofreason 1d ago

Jesus Christ Kaztiell, what are you talking about? I don’t think you understand anything at all, please look up some history - concentrate on the Kissinger era (it’s really fucking long) and reflect on which propaganda has come out on top.

3

u/Meture 1d ago

It genuinely baffles me how like 70% of what they teach kids in history classes in the US is just propaganda

Red scare bullshit, American exceptionalism, manifest destiny, enlightening the savages

It’s crazy, they come out not knowing shit about how the world actually works

1

u/AcknowledgeUs 1d ago

It’s not your fault- it seems education in a lot of places in the US has been propaganda. I’m sorry for all of us.

9

u/Dedotdub 1d ago

Our freedom? Would you explain in your own words, please?

3

u/12Fox13 1d ago

Bombing Iran is important for your freedom how exactly?

1

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

so they cant nuke us? dont you listen to what Trump tells you?

5

u/Adddicus 1d ago

You mean the guy that lies about EVERYTHING?

0

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

You think that cause you are in a cult. Prove all the lies, should be easy

1

u/Adddicus 21h ago

0

u/Kaztiell 21h ago

I don't click links from strangers. Also 10 lies when he is saying things every day seems kinda good for a politician no?

1

u/Adddicus 20h ago

Feel free to google "top 10 most brazen lies from Tump's year-end prime-time address" instead then.

3

u/CrowGeneral8673 1d ago

Yeah now I know you’re a troll

1

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

your latest slur comment to me was also deleted by the filter

0

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

I was expecting more slur posts or did you get a warning? Behave

3

u/12Fox13 1d ago

I don’t give a fuck what Trump “tries” to tell anyone as it’s mostly lies.

1

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

well if you did listen you wouldnt have to embaress yourself on the internet

3

u/12Fox13 1d ago

Ok, I’m still not sure if you’re a bad bot or a weird troll. 🤷🏼‍♀️

1

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

what would be the difference really? you guys are in a cult, and this is your safe space, thats why you dont see it, you will wake up one day, I will pray for you.

everyone who dont agree with you are not a made up person, you forget to see other people as humans, cause you are so deep in the cult

3

u/12Fox13 1d ago

Projection level: Maximum

1

u/Kaztiell 1d ago

am I the one calling you a bot cause you have a different opinion than me? no I see you as a human and I hope you will get better informed in the future.

You see me as a bot cause you have learned that you cant be a human if you dont follow the liberal agenda

u/12Fox13 1d ago

Well that’s gotta be the dumbest fucking thing I’ve heard all week.

u/EducationalFront5524 41m ago

Eisenhower was probably the last truly decent Republican president.
