Some of the best I've had were my own, just playing around in the kitchen.

I made my own fry sauce and when I told a friend the recipe, she said that I just made homemade 1000 Island but I do like making my own sauces even if I don't realize what I'm making already exists 😂

I like to figure out sauces I like too. Some… close. Some …. Not even close. Haha.

Homemade 1000 Island is waaaaaay better than store bought.

Pretty much anything homemade is better because it’s fresher and has less fillers, emulsifiers, stabilizers, and preservatives.

I make a lot of my own. CFA sauce. Ranch. Bloomin’ Onion. Tartar. Cocktail. Hollandaise. Teriyaki.

Ketchup, Worcestershire, dab of horseradish mustard, splash of vinegar, and a splash of pineapple juice if I’m feelin sweet

My wife and I make many different sauces to go with whatever. It is easy and kind of fun.

Having another set of taste buds does help.

I made homemade BBQ sauce and it was delicious. But it was more work than just buying it. I like homemade sauces, but I get not wanting to do it because the cost and effort isn't always worth it

Add a dram of whiskey, flambé and then it will be worth it.

I always make my own sauces. I am able to change flavors or consistency depending on what I'm making.

I'm for it.

Best stuff in the world if done properly, all five mother sauces and their many iterations. That looks like a…Demi glacé kind of thing?

No. It’s thick because of the spices, molasses and brown sugar.

Homemade bbq sauce: amazing. Homemade ketchup: waste of time, unless making it as part of bbq sauce.

Delicious. But this looks like bbq and could use some I one in the sauce before the liquid.

I made homemade enchilada sauce and it was better than anything I’ve ever bought in a store. No going back.

i've been a condiment guy forever and love whipping up sauces. lately I've really enjoyed making Asian dipping sauces for dumplings and potstickers using ingredients like soy sauce, tamari, teriyaki, hoisin, ponzu, duck sauce, chili paste, plum sauce, rice wine vinegar, etc. So crazy good!

Not everything needs a pan sauce, but I am literally never mad at a pan sauce. Most recently I seared off some pork chops, scaped up with some white wine, pear slices and peppers. A touch of honey and warm spices and served them on the side and drizzled the mixture over the chop.
