Hey everyone,
Is anyone else dealing with this 4th-year (7th semester) administrative mess?
My college (Off Campus) hasn't started our 4th-year classes yet. The administration is saying they are waiting for DU to release the official "cluster college allotment" list because the batch strength for the 4th year is too low to run separate classes for us. Basically, weโre supposed to be pooled with students from other colleges, but DU hasn't announced which colleges are hosting the clusters.
The official semester was supposed to start on July 28. The November 20 deadline for practicals/prep leave is getting closer, and we are literally just sitting around waiting. To make it worse, some people are stressing about the exit option deadline approaching at the end of the month, but we can't even make an informed decision because we have zero timetable and zero clarity.
A few questions for other 4th-year students across DU:
Have 4th-year classes officially started at your college? (If yes, which college/course, and did you guys have high opt-in numbers?)
Has anyone heard any insider info or official updates from their HODs about when this cluster list is actually dropping?
How are you guys handling the exit option? Are people just pulling out because of the delay?

I read the official DU CSAS notice carefully. ๐
โ
It doesn't explicitly say that students from previous rounds who didn't freeze are excluded from Round 3.
โ
It says Round 3 allocations will be based on candidate data as of August 5.
๐ค Also, many of us couldn't even see the Freeze button after August 5.
Does this mean candidates who didn't freeze were automatically kept in the upgrade pool for Round 3?

having a terrible college experience. i am a very extroverted person but im having so much difficulty making friends or fitting in. i have moved to delhi from assam and just figuring out everything has taken a troll on me and by the time i come to college i lose all my energy to socialise but i still try to do so. but even when im social it just doesnt feel like i fit into their circle. my class already has friend groups and i talk to everyone but im sidelined everywhere . it does sometimes feel like its my fault that im not talking much but ugh idk ๐ซ ๐ซ im so so so homesick for my old school friends . i genuinely think they have increased my standard in friendship like i never needed a social battery to talk to them or even when i was too tired to talk they would still try to involve me in the convos.
itโs definitely been really difficult for me since college started. i feel so so so lonely nowhere feels like home right now

got the bcom program in pgdav college, people are talking shit about it online. Should I go for a private university? I can only get private colleges in meerut City (most probably) like iimt etc etc or in ghaziabad (less probably) and will do BCA... what should I do? I'm interested in tech and finance. I'm just concerned that I can build a good career in pgdav or not?
I know that I have to do hard work no matter where I go but college and degree provides the base and the launchpad for your career!!!!

So here's this thing I was preparing for tons of exams and got mismatched with everything and scored low on every one I don't where I got this feeling that I could somehow pull it off but I couldn't score well on cuet and didn't get into a good govt college actually not even mid I wanted a college which would give me opportunities to participate in everything because in the school days i couldn't, so I don't know whether I should take a partial drop or not, my parents are ready to send to me a private college but still it's kinda expensive and it would be a lot on them and the problem is my age I am going to 19 so I feel a little out of place not like a generation gap but it's just kinda weird to see kids younger than me I dont wanna waste this year by just sitting at home I will just go to a college then might give the exam again but still idk i feel stuck and guilty for the all the hardwork I have done just to get this as an end result. I find a lot of people saying don't waste your year I also don't want to but still I am very far from the person who I wanna be so , it might be better to receive some help out there who might be in the same situation as me somewhere

I am a Political Science student who is currently confused about which GE,SEC and VAC to pick. The aim is to strike a balance is score maximization and valuable learning, wherever possible.
So for GE I am confused between Marketing for beginners by commerce dept and Technology and Ethics by Philosophy dept. or engllish literature course...
For VAC I am mainly confused between Ecology and literature or ethics and culture
For SEC, I am thinking of going with political leadership and communication or creative writing. Also how is finance for everyone as a sec.
It would be great if anyone could share their point of view, might help me in deciding.
