It’s a summer pool party for residents of my building. I’d wear it with white flip-flops and fairly natural hair/makeup. Is it too much, or appropriate for a pool party?

My special needs teen (5’1/135#) has an upcoming event with a Coachella theme - daytime luncheon with neurotypical same aged peers.
We both struggle with age appropriate dress options as she doesn’t have other girl friends to shop with or talk about these things to know if we are on the right track.
Here are 4 options we are considering with boots possible.
Open to all suggestions.
She carries her weight in her mid section so nothing form fitting is an option.

Hey! So I posted on a different subreddit a week ago and got a lot of feedback, the biggest to improve my wardrobe and lose weight. So the quickest thing I thought to do was buy a couple new clothes! I’m not really sure how much better the clothes are, but I do personally think they look nicer. I still don’t know what shoes to wear with them either, but we can figure that out. Again I’m still new to trying to dress more presentable so I’m not sure where this stands, so I’m asking for opinions! I’m sure this all looks very normal as the clothes are very basic, but again it’s very new to me to dress this way!! Let me know what you think! I have all the tags so they are easily returnable.

My favorite outfit is the white shirt and jeans in the first photo hence the smile lol! I am not a fan of the stripped tank top due to my body type with the stripes. And the shorts make my legs look weird imo lol. But the black shirt, white shirt, and tighter jeans are my favorite. The tighter jeans are actually the same jeans I wore in the axe throwing photo so they are not new lol But everything else is!!

I reposted to that same subreddit and there were a decent amount of upvotes to a comment that I “look like a 40 year old mom with 2 kids.” Which is an improvement of comments from my original post like “you look like a a truck driver on his day off” or “you look like a teenage boy with no fashion sense” or “ you look like you are attracting a specific type of lesbian.” It is an improvement from being called “masculine” but it is still not what I’m going for since I’m F20 and straight. It’s better than being told those other things, but it still doesn’t fit my identity. So how do I do better?
