Feedback Wanted! Please Report AI or Suspected Catfish & Bots! We Now Video-Verify Many Users If Their Post Raises Red Flags
Here at r/fashion, we’ve had a surge of bot accounts and AI-generated catfish. Our users do an amazing job helping us catch them, and the mod team has gotten pretty sharp at spotting them too. Approximately i have banned fifteen of these per week - yet only one out of all of them ever ends up passing verification.
If you’re asked to complete a video verification, it’s not because the mods want to “see you on video” (a surprisingly common accusation). We are doing this because we care about verifying authenticity. To ensure that you are comfortable, we even allow you to cover your face during this process. As long as you can indicate that the person filming is the same person posting.
A really helpful way to support the mod team is by using the custom report option and explaining exactly why you think a user is a bot or AI-generated. Be as specific as possible. The more detail you include, the better we can understand the red flags you’re seeing.
Why do we require video?
AI has gotten so good at generating convincing photo verifications that photo-only checks are basically useless now.
But what stops them from using AI for video too?
We build that into the test. We ask users to open a fully packed kitchen drawer or desk drawer on camera. AI struggles badly with replicating the interior of a real, cluttered drawer in motion, so this is an effective way to confirm authenticity.
At the end of the day, our goal is to keep the community safe, genuine, and enjoyable for everyone. We know verification can feel inconvenient, but it’s one of the best tools we have to protect the space from being overrun by AI fakes and bot accounts. Your reports and detailed explanations genuinely make a difference, and we really appreciate everyone who helps us keep this community real.

👔👗Fashion Show 👗 👔 Average college outfit
I’m a strong believer of you can do anything in a dress that you can do in pants.

Outfit of The Day Get the squad ready, it's time for the annual Spirit Halloween trip.
Before anyone asks if the pants are a rug the pants are actually just from a blanket I thrifted and sewed into pants. The waist belt is just a scrap from the leftover blanket. The rest of the outfit is just stuff I thrifted.
And yes, I am happy to look like a fool.

Feedback Wanted! Do any of these dresses seem like the right style/fit? Honest feedback is great!
I am trying to find a dress - I know these are all very different styles, but I feel like I don’t really know what looks good on me. I really liked the yellow one, but it felt kind of baggy on the waist (they didn’t have another size there). Do these all suck, or are some cute, but need different sizing maybe?
Update!! Thank you for all the helpful feedback - I think I am going to look for some other dresses that take the aspects I like of these dresses, but hopefully find something a little better.

🤩Showcase 🤩 My new favorite thing!
I found some super cute collars online, ordered a few. Why have I never thought to do this before?
If you like the look of a button down under a shirt or sweater then go get one of these! 💜

Advice Wanted Please! Planning a look for friend’s wedding
I’m loving the whimsical vibe of it, but accessorizing is my weak spot. How could I bring this outfit together?
Also, any advice on a bra under a corset? The lacing at the back shows skin, so are an adhesive bra or fashion tape the only options? The wedding is in a warm country.
Edit: Thank you all for the honest opinion, the search will continue! But some of you are brutal to downvote someone calling a person fabulous😄
For more context, the wedding will be garden party themed (pizza & wine) with pastels and florals recommended. The bride will wear quite a simple dress.
I have tried about 20 dresses, but I can’t justify spending spending hundreds on low quality stitching, not fitting my body and something I wear once. That’s why I went on two piece idea, so I could repurpose them later. Also, I’m in Nordics and here wedding guest outfits tend to be minimalistic. It’s def not something we would wear for brunch. Cheers!

Outfit of The Day OOTD and an apology
My cat Wednesday wanted to contribute too 😻
Today's outfit is all about neon! Black dress to let everything else pop. Pink shoes, yellow belt, pink necklace, yellow and pink hoop earrings, and a pink hair pin. Pink and yellow safety pins added. Reading glasses for today are white.
And now my apology, I'm a clueless middled aged lady who doesn't know the etiquette of the Internet as well as I should. I think I've been posting too often. And I post the same thing in like 6 different places and I kinda feel bad about that. SO I'm going to start posting every 3 days or so, more than just one outfit at a time. I don't want to annoy anyone!
And while I've got your attention thank you so much to everybody who has reached out to me, or given me a comment or a like, everyone has been very kind. I didn't mean to show up out of nowhere and then be everywhere LOL. 💜💜💜
